I've always been Team Keep Brunette and who gives a f*** about Ruff.

My best case scenario had Brunette being promised the head coaching job after Lindy has one more sendoff year, the way the Blues had said before the last Hitchcock season that it would be the last season for him and Mike Yeo (LOL) would take over after the next year.

Mike Yeo wound up taking over before that year was even over, which could have been Brunette this year.

I don't think Fitz needed to publicly declare that this was Ruff's last season and Brunette was to take over. It could have stayed private, but I think it needed to happen with the three of them communicating this among each other and everybody knowing their role.

We let Brunette go and then we fired Ruff 60 games in anyway.

And the coup de grace.....Travis Green replaces Brunette and then Ruff lol.

So f***in weird.

I forgot all about that shit before I started rewatching this from the beginning with my friend who has never seen it.

Every time I read or hear the Yzerplan stuff I think of horror movies where a bunch of people (usually children) are possessed and you hear them repeat some slogan. Or some movie about aliens that take over earth posing as humans. That shit is so weird. Please Lou and Roy, knock them the f*** out.

If I had it my way Lindy would have been GANKED after 21-22. I was pretty shocked he made it back from that.

And Fitz committed very early into that offseason to saying Lindy would be back, after firing the assistants.

Brunette was still the interim head coach of the Panthers, who were still playing in the playoffs at the time Fitz said that, so no one had any idea that Brunette would eventually become available.

He couldn't turn around and fire Ruff in June or July after Brunette became available and we hired him.

He also couldn't fire Ruff after last year with the season he had, but I wish he would have had Brunette stay with the promise that he's the head coach no later than the start of the 24-25 season.

I think Fitz lacked a killer instinct. Winning that rangers series felt like such a big emotional and moral victory that he lost sight of some obvious issues with the team and Ruff and became short sighted.

At the end of the day he wasn't willing to cut Lindy even if Bruno was the right man for the future.

We put in a good game against them yesterday. Many people on here were way too hard on them. ( besides on Daws, that was deserved)
