If the Bruins are seriously going to alternate goalies and play Ullmark for no reason for game 2 then that could be an advantage for Toronto.

If it ain't broke (like Samsonov) don't fix it.

I get massive Todd McLellan vibes from Sheldon Keefe. Young coach in his first ever NHL head coaching job that got inserted right into a powerhouse and can't get them over the hump. He even has the same physique as Todd. Went completely gray at a young age and Todd used to have the same build before he lost some weight in recent years.

Even the Sharks got to the conference finals in back to back years under Todd and won 5 rounds with him in the first 5 years he was there. Keefe has won one round in the four years he's been there before this.

Keefe may be a poor man's McLellan.

They both even have the Babcock connection, though Keefe never really worked under him I don't think. He was just the head coach for the AHL affiliate of the NHL team Babcock coached for.

''Missed opportunity for Sheldon Keefe''

Even Brian Boucher is being critical of him lol.

The Carlo goal that made it 2-0 for the Bruins pretty much ended it for Toronto. The next goal was also borderline, but at least there was more of a screen on that one.

That Carlo goal was one timed, but it should have hit Samsonov, it didn't.

The first DeBrusk goal looked to beat him in the same exact spot blocker side.

How about going to Woll? How come some nobody on a message board that's never worked for an NHL team can figure it out but Mr. ''I inherited a stacked powerhouse before I was even 40 years old'' can't? I've been calling this ever since it was expected he would be the guy in the playoffs.

Remember our game against them recently? The last game of the year we won?

When Sheldon Keefe gets fired, do we want any part of him? The obvious answer is no but he was considered one of the best coaches outside the league when Dubas brought him in, and he might do well away from the hustle and bustle of big city life in New York i mean Toronto.

Was he considered that, or did just everyone (correctly) assume Dubas was going to hire him when the fired Babcock because they go back to Peterborough?

7.3 expected goals for Toronto ? lol
felt a little like empty calorie xGs tonight. Toronto got a lot of unscreened wristers from the top of the circles with no pass or movement beforehand. They had some good chances but it definitely didn’t feel like they were controlling play all night.

I'm not at all sold on him. He's still young and he could become better down the line, but I'm not at all sold on him. I don't think he's anywhere near as bad as frickin Travis Green (WTF is? John MacLean?) or anything. I'm not even sure if he's as bad as Gallant.

He'd be a real roll of the dice. He's had good teams and they just don't get over the hump.

And I do not like his decision to go with Samsonov for this game. If he didn't see it coming before that, his game against us should have opened his eyes. Then there was the game where he allowed 4 in a period last weekend against Detroit.

I'm sure the Bruins have come up short on the deserve to win o meter a lot this season.

They aren't that good of a team. They've overachieved massively this year. Nobody talks about it other than me. No one in the media are really talking about it.

But when you're going up against Samsonov..... And you got pretty good goalies in your own net.....You can win!

And I have no idea why Boston would go to Ullmark for game 2. They keep talking about it on here. I guess because Jim Montgomery said they were going to alternate the goalies every game?

Not sure why Ullmark needs to come in at this point unless Swayman starts to struggle. At least let him have a bad game first. Ullmark is a lame duck at this point. They need to clear him for cap purposes anyway with Swayman's new contract coming up next year.

It's Swayman's team at this point. Use Ullmark if you have to while you still got him. But playing him after Swayman just stopped like 37 of 38 in game 1 is not ''If you have to''.

Nah, it's because of all the Genucel.
