I’m catching up with stuff on YouTube right now with the game on in the background. I haven’t paid much attention at all this period.
I only even came into this thread to post how boring this game was.
I even just said out loud before clicking on to this thread
“THIS. GAME. IS. BORING.”
They would have point shaved Carolina if they won the division and had to play Washington. It would be even more watchable than this.

Sorokin lost the starting job about 2-3 weeks before the season ended because Varlamov got hot.
I think we’ll see Sorokin starting games sooner or later in this series. It’ll probably take more than a 2-1 loss, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see him start game 2 if Varlamov gives up a couple more and they lose this one.
Give me 2-3 guys who I can watch get in on a forecheck in a playoff game and paste someone into the wall. That fires me up.
They had that potential with McMoron (allegedly). His stupidity (allegedly) and Bastian’s shoulder injury set the team back more than gets discussed.

I would only root for the Canes if they’re playing the Rangers. They’re a bunch of diving pansies and the liberties refs let them get away with with uncalled slashes to the hands is ridiculous. You watch them play and there’s one uncalled slash per shift.
Mcleod absolutely was a top 9 player this past season. He improved quite a lot.

Fair enough. Fundamentally I think a lot of our lack of physicality was coached. There was a high emphasis on angling (on defense) and rush offense. I’m hoping the next coach can emphasize more finishing checks and building a cycle / net front game

I miss Palms. Such a warrior. He’s not the biggest guy but he goes to the net hard every game. Doesn’t care about people hitting him.
