At this point I think it’s him regardless. If not for the last two rounds.

Unless the Oilers do enough to take this to 7 games, while scoring 4 goals on him every game from here on out. Then they’ll give it to Barkov probably.

I don’t think the Oilers are even gonna last until game 6 though. Maybe they’ll win game 4 and go out in 5.

I’d be comfortable betting they aren’t coming back to win tonight though.

I think you're both right here. Contract is absolutely a win if they get a cup and two solid cup runs out of it but there would have been dozens of pages of complaining and calling for Fitz's head if we signed a goalie to a 10 million dollar contract and he put up a .900 over his first season

Florida was also just relentless vs Rags, just like theyre vs Oilers. Just no room to do anything, Devils would be in big trouble against Florida.

How to counter them? Guess with proper depth. Clearly Edmontons and Torontos arent gonna cut it if Barkov is healthy.
