He’s literally already faced as many shots through 2 periods as Vitek faced in 3 periods tonight and has allowed just one goal.

Colorado’s lineup tonight is just a shell of that cup winning team from just 5 months ago.

Landeskog has yet to make his season debut and I’m not sure he’s slated to come back until maybe February? Or maybe it’s January? Nichushkin has been injured for about a month now.

Evan Rodrigues is now out for I think it’s 2 or 3 weeks. He’s been a cheap but decent replacement. Kadri and Burakovsky are both gone. Newhook has sucked this year and their bottom 6 is full of busts like Martin Kaut and guys I’ve never heard of before. And Andrew Cogliano, who is old and not particularly good anymore.

Arturi Lehkonen is having a great year. 16 points in 18 games. He’s at least replaced some of what they lost with the guys that walked, at least regular season, since he wasn’t there for most of last season and was a deadline acquisition.

Flyers putting up the 10 game losing streak.

I checked and they were up 2-1. I was shocked. Checked a bit later and they were down 2-4. The world was right again.

I think they’ve lost some of those in OT/shootout, but they were always gonna be bad this year.

After the Canucks win tonight they’ll be 3 points out of a playoff spot after that pathetic start.

The Pacific is a joke and the West as a whole isn’t much better.

You would almost think the best team in the West would have a better record than the best teams in the East, because they get to feed on the hordes of weak competition. But perhaps this early in the season there’s a bit of an imbalance in the schedules with who’s played who.

Their forward group looks like one of those abominations we had back in the dark days. There's only 2 players that would be NHLers on a different team.

Luke Sedlak led the forwards in ice time and he was picked off waivers earlier this year.

I do not get how the Islanders are winning as much as they are. They have Sorokin , Barzal , Dobson and …. that’s about it . Those guys and good defensive defencemen like Pelch and a pile of “meh” .
I guess though , if you get godly goaltending and good defence , you can scrub it up and scrape out wins .
I was not impressed at all with the Islanders when we played them. Bore you to death and beat in a gola here and there.
Im nkt sure who I hate more. Pens , Caps , Islanders , Jackets ,Flyers.
Flyers and jackets are so shitty that they are irrelevant this season so I don’t hate them as much as I usually do.Rags are an automatic #1 but nkt sure who #2 is.

Couturier, Konecny , Farabee , Atkinson , Frost , Tippet , JVR …
their best ones are gettig old and the younger ones are meh .

Avs lost their depth. They were terrifying last year with an elite top line and then guys like Kadri, and Burakovski in their middle six. The need to get healthy and add a piece or two before they're back at the top of the league but they still have their stars and a ridiculous D.

Sorokin, Barzal, Dobson, Nelson, Lee, Pelech, and Puloch is a pretty good core. They're getting contributions from role players too.

But I think at the end of the day it will be Boston, Carolina, and Toronto that we're gunning for in the East.

Just about the only time I'll post on another teams board is coming with respect asking about a recently acquired player who had an amicable departure and almost exclusively during the off-season.

Ie, I had a handful of perfectly respectful albeit brief convos with a few B's fans after the Haula/Zacha trade.

I hate the rags as much as the next guy but this board would be entirely unreadable if rival fans were allowed to talk shit in other teams threads. The mainboard is bad enough for that.
