NYR and PHI are winnable and don't bother me in the least.

DAL has always been tough.

As is FLA and the Canes.

BOS would be the ultimate test, imo, as I think THEY are going to be the ones standing in pretty much not just our way but everyone's way.

I can't believe PK Subban retired before he did.
PK’s contract expired first.

The deal Lucic signed with Edmonton expires after this season, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he retires rather than play on a “discount” contract.

I'd like to say this is the end for him, but I think someone will give him one more year.

Some team with a CAVEMAN GM that values his type of game.

Brian Burke works in Pittsburgh. Sounds like this is all him, but they're so old that they can't possibly look to bring in YET ANOTHER guy that's over 35? All of Crosby, Malkin, Letang and Carter (is Carter still under contract next year?) are all at least 35.

With the goaltending the Isles are getting right now, I wouldn't be placing bets like that.

More so trusting the Stars's top line at home to do well but yeah with Isles goaltending + ability to come back in the third, it was probably a foolish bet lol

He hasn’t cracked 25 points in 5 years. He’s bad even by old school standards. And if you have played more than 1,000 games + playoffs making $6 million a year, do you really want to keep going at $1 million. He’s got his career earning already

Honestly it feels like the Bruins have been the quiet story. We are getting way more coverage and hype

They've been good for a decade plus though. Oeople know they're good where as we're the new young trendy team people have been waiting to make strides like this for years. It's kinda similar to how people always picked Florida and Carolina to finally break and then they eventually did.

Yeah.

However, with the Bruins STILL on top, there will always be a "Yeah BUT..." with the Devils even with this current run.

If the Devils were on TOP, then they'd get the true respect they deserve.

The team will get respect when they win when it matters. Any skepticism is understandable given the last 10 years or so.

That said, I think they are getting plenty of respect right now.

Is Torts a one and done in Philly?

Not that I think he'll be fired by Fletcher. I think Fletcher's getting fired after this year (possibly in-season) and at that point do they start over with someone new? Or keep Torts because he's signed for 4 more years/a proven coach?
