Surprisingly, they aren't as old as I thought this year. They're probably top-10 oldest, but there's a bunch of older teams, including the Calgary Flames, who looked every bit of it in the first 2 periods against us, as well as the 3rd period and OT tonight.

I cannot believe the Islanders won….
I switched to the Oilers and Caps game because the Flames were up 3-1 and Islanders looked like they couldn’t make a play if their lives depended on it. Then check here and it’s tied. Watch OT and see Dobson score in OT…..WTF . I am starting to hate the Islanders. It’s Sorokin and that’s it. Lou once again riding a elite goalie. Surrounds him with good defensive D and a bunch of old farts.

Calgary actively makes itself older by not playing anyone drafted after 2017. The Isles have some younger players on their team.

I mean, I like what Treliving did in getting aggressive and replacing the two guys that left (even though one of the acquisitions was part of the trade for one of the guys that wanted out), but they got 3 years older with each of their replacements.

The defense isn’t that good other than the top pair, they’re simply outscoring their problems.
And Sorokin keeps them in despite some iffy team defense.

Either they come out flying and play amazing , or…. their confidence is shit and they squeeze their sticks too tight and continue sucking …..

We didn't "smoke them" in the last game.
But in front of the home fans, I hope we do.
That said...I just want 2 points.
Just get back those 2 points that they gave away(basically) to the Isles as if saying "here, Isles. Take the free 2 points so you can PISS OFF Devils fans".
They will be mad as a buzzing hornet after losing this one. We best be ready with our A game. Unlike our game up there, they were the better team tonight and should have won this game. But who’s their number two goalie? That’s who we will probably be seeing tomorrow.
