Kreider reminds me of Brady Anderson, a former major league baseball player who played the majority of his career for the Orioles. He was a decent player with a .256 career average and 210 homeruns in a 15-year career. In 1996 he hit 50 homeruns - the most he ever had in any other single season was 24 and 21.

If Ranger fans and their organization think Kreider is going to repeat last season, they're sadly mistaken.
My recollection is he became the unofficial hallmark of thr beginning of baseball’s steroid era.

So you are saying Kreider was on roids last year?

Spencer Knight just saved Freddie Andersen from softy of the night.

And then the Ducks scored another goal on the next shift to tie it.

Adam Graves is the more apt comparison. Both solid players with one crazy outlier season.

On second look, Henrique looks to have tipped this. The Ducks feed seems to think Henrique tipped It up and over Spencer Knight, but it’s been close to 15 minutes since it was scored and it’s still being credited to Ryan Strome.

Kreider is a considerably better player than Graves

Although, I am waiting for the Adam Graves induction into the HOF any year now.

Considerably better is an exaggeration. Maybe better. Graves had 4 30+ goal seasons including his 50 goal outlier. Kreider only has the one ridiculous outlier. Ppg are similar though Kreider has the lead.

Graves played in s higher scoring era than Kreider.

Or at least the earlier part of his career definitely was. Like when he scored those 52 goals in 93-94. He was only 25 that season, whereas Kreider was already 30 last season.

He was starting to drop off quite a bit by 26 or 27. Maybe the later years of his career weren’t high scoring years in the league, but his scoring also dropped right with it.

Looking at Krieder’s entire career, he probably isn’t a ton better than Graves or maybe not even considerably better, but I still think he’s better.

Graves was also pretty much already toast or close enough to it by about the age Kreider is now.

Nah, I legit think this is what they are. Halak was also an atrocious signing, dude's 41 with no lateral movement even though he was fine tonight. They're paying for the insane puck luck over the past decade they've had, it's also awesome for the Devils to be this good at the same time.
You trying to out-bleed Bleed?

@Bleedred , your thoughts? :sarcasm:

Rangers continually being outplayed.

View attachment 604431

They haven't been getting outplayed this year. The Rangers have actually played good hockey this year. They've had absolutely no finish and Igor has been "good" rather than "god". If they were controlling play the same way they were pre deadline last year then they'd be in the running for Bedard right now

This isn't true at all. Maybe last year they would have been a "lottery team" in the sense that they would have missed the playoffs without Igor and an insane powerplay. This year they're significantly better than a lottery team, probably a top 10ish team if they could finish and Igor got back in gear.

Why don't we ask noted Rangers superfan @RangerDoggo to tell us how the NYR are faring at even strength outside of the goalie performance? He's followed them for years and will know the nuance of their games.

Yeah that is what I meant, not that they're a bottom 10 team.

I’ve watched 5 of their games. Outplayed IMO. Maybe the analytics look good for them and the ship will eventually gain some momentum, but they have been pretty lifeless out there. They looked good against Philly, CBJ and Zona. But most teams should look that way against those teams.

His 50 goal year will be the equivalent of Clarkson scoring 30 for us, goofy one off years that won't ever happen again.

Ranger Doggo has quit cheering for the Rangers and is now a very devoted Bruins fan.

Flames outshooting the Islanders 10-0 and they finally score. Isles make a habit out of taking 15 minutes to get their first shot on goal.

Edit: Well I guess they made their first shot count.

The Flames away uniforms are fire.

2-1 Hanafin.

Butch Goring always sounds like an old man who is out of it and rambling about nothing.

Had an Islander buddy who jokingly said them playing Markstrom tonight and Vladar versus us was the Flames playing the better goalie versus the better team, guess he was indirectly right lmao

Flames are playing very well. They are pissed after losing 4 in a row.
Islanders were playing decent recently were they not? Flames are doing to the Islanders what we do to every team . Fly around and pressure immediately and pepper the other team.
Tomorrow should be a very good game.
We will have the advantage with matchups . Tanev still not playing and Flames have to dress Mackey and some other scrub on D . Mackey was getting torched all game against us in Calgary

Hopefully Islanders wear down the Flames (but lose, I dont want any Metro team gettig points)
