I like him (and goalies in general) doing commentary because they aren't afraid to call out bad goaltending on the ice.
This is precisely why I appreciate them as well. Brian Boucher has been one of my favorite analysts in the game since he retired and started appearing on TV about 7-8 years ago. I feel like he sees eye to eye with me about 80% of the time on the goals I call out as stoppable.

Last week Lundqvist was talking about John Gibson's side to side movement being poor and how it's been a problem for a few years now and on one of the goals that didn't at all look like a bad goal, Lundqvist comments that it's not as tough of a save to make as he's making it look, and kept talking about the way his knees looked and moved when moving east to west.

Kevin Weekes is the one big exception, as he's way too positive and way too much of a homer with the goalies, unless it's a REALLY BAD GOAL. He was the one getting so excited over Mike Condon on the NHLN a few years back and talking about how good he was.

The same Mike Condon that was out of the NHL for good within about 1.5 years ago and was completely out of pro hockey before he even turned 30 years old.

Nice to know that you can always look at PHI, VAN, etc. and realize it could be so much worse.

Easy to take the rebuild in that light.

signed for FOUR more years after this one!! we love to see it

The on his knees move, where he vaguely tries to stop a shot and then spins away from all the action before the Leafs 3rd goal is fun (around the last :30).

His slow meaningless shadowing of Tavares is pretty good too.

When Risto handles the puck it sometimes looks like someone gave him a opposite-handed stick. It’s so awkward, and he’s supposed to be a puck mover. It’s like he got worse at it somehow.
