It didn’t get better.

I don't care if that third goal was tipped or not, it's a weak goal on Bobrovsky. That hits a good goalie more often than not. Bob is NOT a good goalie anymore. He's average at the absolute best.
As I said potentially with Schneider after years of decline in his early 30's (yes, I'm bringing his name up again), goalies usually DON'T bounce back after 2-3 years of poor play at that age. Sometimes if they're just run of the mill backups they might, but a guy like your Schneider or your Bobrovsky, they just don't do it.
Sometimes they have a good bounce back season (see: Bob last year), but it usually doesn't sustain itself. And Bob's first two years in Florida were not good.
They really need some Spencer Knight in there, I'm just not sure if he's ready. He surely isn't lighting the world on fire at this point, but Bob needs to really go to wherever Dale Tallon is these days.
Oh, and the Paul Maurice is still kind of weird, but whatever.....
He's the kind of dinosaur coach that will lean on Bobrovsky like it's still the 2010's.
