If the Avs do land a legit good goalie at some point…hoo boy
Kuemper is legit good (not great) but I don't expect him to be good for much longer.

He's 32 and he could start going downhill as soon as next year.

He's almost like the reverse Holtby, although I don't think he's as good as Holtby was when he was still good.

He was pretty much a nobody goalie until he was like 27 years old, then got really good at 27-28 years old. Where Holtby was one of the best until he was about 27-28, then mediocre to bad from then on.

I don't like that Cooper lets Vasilevskiy stay in this game this long.

Even Marty would have been pulled after 5 and if he wasn't then 6 was it for him. Just like the two times in the 2003 playoffs.

It's hard to see Tampa winning this series with how poorly they've played in the first two games. I really think they needed a split here in Colorado.

I wouldn't at all be surprised if this series comes back to Denver tied up at two a piece, but they really needed a split here in Denver.

corey schwab....bruins and ducks....both road games

I remember it was 5 he allowed in the Bruins game (it was game 4 and the only difference in us sweeping them and winning in 5), but I can't remember if it was 5 or 6 in game 6 against Anaheim.

All I remember is ''OFF THE FLOOR! ON THE BOARD!'' and he exited shortly after.

Honestly, there's a lot of luck involved in the playoffs too. Tampa's 2nd cup was prob the easiest they could've gotten.

This is not Kuemper's first ever playoff shutout.

It was actually all the way back on April 21st, 2014 for Minnesota. Which was against Colorado.

That was a hell of a series
I don’t remember too much of it, only because I remember the Sharks/Kings series (the reverse sweep) was going on at the same time and I’m pretty sure some of those games interlapped with that other series.

I didn’t even remember Kuemper actually playing in it. I thought it was Bryzgalov lol. He apparently lost the net to Kuemper in that series, but got it back the next round against Chicago.

I do remember there were some people going over the rails about how the finals will be the Wild (with Parise) and Rangers. The Rangers part would become reality, but the Wild weren’t even close.

Just saw the result (wasn't able to watch the game) and I'm like :

7-zip? WTF??

BTW, I'm sure there is an explanation as to what happened but I didn't read anything else.

If the Bolts do not hold serve at home and lose one game there, they're toast.

They MUST win both games at home to not only tie the series up but gain some momentum back.

Like I said, they'd be dumb to re-sign Kuemper, unless he wants to take a stupid low discount in both term and dollars.

It was a good move to trade for him this year and he had a very good season, but pedestrian playoffs, likely due to the injury.

And it didn't hurt them one bit.

I'd say they acquired him to win THIS YEAR and not hopefully this year but definitely in the next couple after this.
Kuemper's probably this year's Antti Raanta lol...you won a Cup, great - now get out.

I’m still not counting Tampa out. They got a big wakeup call against NYR in game 2 and adjusted accordingly. Lets see.

I'd be very surprised if the Avs don't at least split the games in Tampa. The Avs just aren't the Rangers. They've been dominating everyone all playoffs. Vasilevsky will need to be incredible
