fwiw 1994 vs Boston Devils were down 2-0, stormed back and won the series in 6. Terreri saving our asses with a brilliant OT win at Boston Garden
I was at the game 2 with my dad that the Devils tied with seconds left and lost in OT. The next season I was at (iirc) game 2 vs the same broooinz and the Devils won in OT.

Just hate how nomatter what happens here, it looks like the Rags are gonna be good for a while, though we'll cross that bridge when we get there. First thing's first...eliminate those punks.

Trying to envision scenarios where this Rangers core falls apart before they win a Cup.

If Trouba doesn't take out Crosby versus PIT, they're out in 5 to an ECHL goalie in round 1. They're not as good as everyone is hyping them to be. The Islanders will be better next year, we should get our heads out of our asses, Carolina will have dominant once again in the regular season. If they rely on special teams + Shesterkin as hard as they did this year they're gonna have an awful time. Also judging by their cap, how are they gonna get better?

If you look at their cap situation and the amount of quality players they need to re-sign and extend I don't think they will be as big of a threat as they are this season. Something like 16 extensions and re-signing and about 32 million in cap space.

They will be a regular season regular for awhile but I think as Panarin ages, Trouba underperforms, and Kreider and Goodrow regress their post season effectiveness will diminish after this year.

A lot of their problems stem from the inability to develop in house forwards which will make it impossible to navigate in the cap world.

Jesus Christ.

I hope whomever recorded that, IMMEDIATELY provided that to the Police.

This is just insane and I'm hearing "the guy's dead"? IF so, uh oh.
Damn, hope he's okay. You can kill someone doing that
Someone said he's dead but on Twitter I just found this :

But then :

And some other person who I could not corroborate ('cause it's twitter) :

I don't know what to believe BUT if the guy IS dead, some f**king Rags-loving clown is going to be wearing Orange for a long-ass time.

They just showed some stat about the last two times a team came back from a 2-0 lead and then went on to go up 3-2? The second to last time was in 2003? Really?

I clearly remember the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals with Vancouver going up 2 games to 0 and losing in 7.

I guess They led 3 games to 2 after 5 games though and Boston won the last two games? I guess that's how that happened.
Yes, it was 2 home Ws for nucks, then 2 for Bs, 1 for Nucks and 2 for Bs, i.e. only time the away team won was in g7.

I remember that series vividly too, because there's an old Finnish NHL journalist that has been living in Edmonton for ages but roots for the Bruins and at 2-0 he wrote an article where he reminded about an old NHL playoff saying "You aren't in trouble till you lose at home." (Not exactly sure about the wording.)

Well, suppose the saying is still on the point in the East CF!

Only one thing to add here is that it ain’t over yet. The Rangers have been in this position before in game six’s twice this year, except not on the road.

But if there is one club in the league that knows how to close out a series it’s Tampa. I expect a goal or two out of Hedman in game 6. Maybe Killorn will finally do something.

Can’t express how much I admire how they have dug down to come back in these last 3 games, because they are so clearly running on fumes right now after all the losses of guys to free agency off the last couple clubs, the injuries and all the hockey they’ve played. They aren’t getting a lot of offense out of anyone but Palat and Kucherov this series. Occasionally Stamkos. And tonight they got the screens and the tips. Whatever it takes. And oh how they’ve locked down on the Rangers, cut down on the Zibby one timers and kept an eye on Kreider.

If they do manage to repeat as cup winner, they will have done it on baling wire and duct tape.

But just get one more win in this series please.
AGREED!

I don't care if they repeat or lose to the Avs in the Finals...

...just win this next game to ensure the Rags don't win ANYTHING.

Trouba didn't make contact but he should be suspended for that flying elbow. It's a blatant attempt to injure.
You know George Parros (who did this crap for a living in his playing days) won't do s--t, right?

Imagine the arrogant stupidity to assault someone with 20000 people around and think you can get away with it in the age of cameras everywhere.

Then again, his idol Trouba does it too :sarcasm:

That’s not a fight. That’s a criminal assault. Utterly disgusting.
Yeah I was expecting an actual brawl, not a Tie Domi cheap shot - then again I only watched the first forty seconds.
