Yeah, no breaking news here or anything, but Samsonov is not a very good goalie.
I’m not convinced he’s even better than Blackwood.
He hasn’t even had a season as good as Blackwood’s 19-20.
I’m pretty sure the McDavid goal (need one more look at it once the highlight video is posted to the app any minute now) was not a good one and the rebound on the Ceci goal was a really bad one. So bad that I almost never nail a goalie on a rebound goal, unless it leaks through them, but he had that one in his chest and it could have been whistled, but he loses it.

And there’s a weak one on Demko, who I don’t usually count a lot of stoppable ones on.
And then you got Montembeault in there, this really has the potential to be a 50% + stoppable goal night, which is much easier to accomplish on a two game night.
Although the one Montembeault just allowed wasn’t a stoppable one, but it’s hilarious that it’s another one from Travis Ham and Egger.

At least with Blackwood you can point to the health issues and that’ll give you hope that if healthy he can be spectacular again. Samsonov’s just turned out meh

Even worse would be if it was the other way around. Detroit with 1 goal on 4 shots while Calgary racked up the shots with futility.

What a unique situation.
Can I give the goalie a stoppable goal for blatantly knocking the net off to try and prevent a goal? It's kind of like the goalie coughing the puck up and it eventually leading to a goal, although not quite as bad.
Although I still think it's more rational than if I were to give the goalie a stoppable because he took a penalty and got scored on during the ensuing power play, which is something I've never done before.

Never underestimate the Western Canadian teams’ ability to trip over their own dicks. Edmonton is hot mess and Vancouver will likely regress at some point.
Unless Stone is strapping on some goalie pads he’s not addressing their main need, Lehner needs to heal up.

Flames / Avs game looks like a playoff game. Flames are hitting everything that moves . Theres somethjg to be said about having hulking D. Flames GudBranson and Zadorov are destroying guys and are more effective than the Avs high skilled guys as they can easily take hits to make plays. Avs D looks panicked and it’s only a matter of time before they cough the puck over that results in a goal against . I love how Fitz has built our defence so far. Graves Hamilton Seigs with Shakir and Okhotyuk coming. Some pretty big boys back there. I like it . Mix of size and skating ability.
