35 of his 54 goals are 5-on-5. 65% of his goals come at 5-on-5. That's absurd lol.

Ovi has 19 5-on-5 goals out of 42 (45%). In his best offensive season (65 goals), Ovi scored 34 goals 5-on-5 (52% of his goals). Matthews really is incredible.

That Gudas goal on Kallgren…. Holy f***, what a terrible goal.

That makes Hextall look like had no chance on the Claude Lemieux goal in game 5 of the 95 ECF. Holy f*** that was bad.

From the blue line. That was a shorthand goal too, but that’s all on the f***in goalie right there.

Yeah that easily beats out Gaudreau on Cal Petersen last night, which I wrongly proclaimed would be one of the softest goals we’d see in the remaining 3.5 weeks of the season.

I mean, it might still be one of the softest, but this one was so much worse. Other than the fact that the goalie didn’t give the puck away on this one, like Petersen did to Gaudreau.

That was easily a top-10 softy of the year. I just wish I could hear Ray Ferraro’s call on that one. He was really giving it to both Bobrovsky and Knight for a goal each of them gave up. But you always get the commentary of the scoring team on each of the goals.

Panthers win in OT 6-7 after Toronto was winning 5-1 in the 2nd period.

They have the top offense in the NHL, 4.16 G/GP. Us blowing that lead wasn’t shocking. Their GA/GP is 2.94 (14th) giving them a 58.55 GF% (1st in the NHL).

Since January 1st their G/GP is 4.43 and GA/GP is 2.91 for a 60.34% GF%.

Yeah, I knew something kind of looked off about the time. He's listed as playing 37:12 and the really bad Gudas goal came at 12:51 of the 2nd (32:51 of the game) period.

But I saw he only allowed 3 goals and assumed that after that REALLY BAD third goal they probably yanked him, even though that rarely happens that far into a game where the goalie is pulled after just 3 goals and where their team is still leading.

I still don’t understand when it’s ok for opposing players to plow into goalies & when it isn’t.

A Lightning player just plowed head first into Samsonov to create a SH “scoring chance”.

With our current goaltending and no Jack , we have a very realistic shot at finishing very last in the league.
If it gets us Slafkovsky or a stud elite goalie in trade , I am all for it .

And what's Laviolette think he's doing going with Samsonov? He continues to suck and the team outscores all his softies to win.

Caps look like another early exit waiting to happen, but I'm sure they will have returned to Vanecek by that point.

I think the Rangers would struggle more with Tampa, so their best is winning the division, Tampa getting the first wild card and that being their first round matchup.

I think the Rangers could probably beat Boston too, but they might not. Could go either way.

Don't hold me to any of this just yet, but Jarry is heating up (more like cooling down) the last few games just in time for the playoffs and Samsonov is a drain in net for the Caps.
