I wonder if the Titans are going to try and run Henry down their throats again. It's one of the reasons that missing Oliver might put them at a huge disadvantage.

Cincinnati's D played well during their run of course - but i wouldn't class them as being elite. The Bills D on the other hand IS elite - yet we don't hold that against Allen.

The only arguement you can really make against Burrow is his elite receiving trio - Chase might be the best WR in the league already, Higgins is a physical beast & Boyd is probably the best pure slot guy out there.. Mixon is also a good back. But none of the other guys mentioned (save for Rodgers tjis year maybe) are throwing to a group of bums.

I just think Burrow gets very under rated because he doesn't have the eye popping physical abilities that everyone salivates over now days.

I'd love to see Burrow play behind even an average OL too - because he damn near gets killed behind that line every single game. None of the other guys have to deal with anything so debilitating.

Herbert has always struck me as a poor man's Allen even in his draft year. Right now he's not much poorer than Allen & can certainly reach that level. But I think he's still definitely in a tier below.
The Bills defense probably cost them a shot at the Superbowl. Allen was nuclear. You put him on Cincy, and theyre going all the way. Cincy's pass rush took off in the playoffs, and that was the x factor to them making it as far as they did.

But I do agree- Burrow will be very, very good. Most people have him just slightly behind Allen, Mahomes, Rodgers, and Brady- and neck and neck with Herbert and Lamar, which I think is fair.

I really love watching him succeed, though, and he is one tough son of a gun. The Bengals are also a team I really like. Tbh, I like Baltimore, Cincy, and LA. Sucks theyre all in our conf like you said.

Cincy.. super huh . Augmented reality. The diggs catch w Minnesota when new Orleans cb whiffed for , huh? We are abused puppets and whining about thirteen seconds or belli cheat getting plays simply does not matter if you lose . Josh and our D believe in jazz and secret communication and the will of doing it yourself. If they should win anything I imagine it will be the toughest of anytime.. All of us behind them communicate w out a word as we all are grateful and humble Josh and Dion Dawkins and Crew understand the mountain they climb each minute humbly to get the opportunity, to fight and claw to go further and.

It's quite something, inside a rigged sport, playing real football, as men must overcome frequency and the zebras and stuff nobody would ever believe, for their group and a war they took on for a city and all of us here. Mktatanka.
So onto Monday to climb a harder mountain w Henry Green and new England vrabel.. should be fun watching josh dialed in w whatever storm is thrown at them . They will be ready, apparently laughing his Ass off w every punch in face both ways. Go Daquan and Edmonds and all...as well

I mean, the only reason it worked last year was because if a ~75yrd play that had multiple obvious uncalled holds. If the Bills D does as good a job against Henry as they did last time but the refs actually do their job (big if I know), this game has a totally different narrative at the end.

It will hurt a bit if we're missing some interior D linemen but the depth and flexibility there should keep us from getting run over.

Oliver and Settle still didnt practice, so it seems likely at least one of them will be out. Jacks did practice, though, which is good news.

Also, on the Herbert topic- this is an interesting stat. Allen does have a pretty big advantage in being careful with the ball in the red zone it seems. I dont think Allen has thrown a pick yet in the red zone, which is insane.

None of us have a problem putting Allen in the top tier & he hasn't won a MVP title either. That shouldn't be a prerequisite.

Burrow took his team to the SB in what was his first full season - and very nearly won it. He doesn't have the physical attributes of a Mahones/Allen - although i think he's under rated as an athlete. I also think he has the best processor of all the young guys & he definitely has that X factor that all the top guys have too. He's playing behind the worst OL in the league, doesn't have an elite running game or D to rely on - although he does have one of the best trio of receivers in the league to throw to. He's a stud.

There's a clear top five for me with the realistic possibility of Herbert / Watson being there too. It simply sucks that once Rodgers / Brady retire - ALL of these guys will be in the AFC. Even the younger guys with 'tier 2' potential such as Jones/Tua along with the likes of Jackson are in the AFC. It's totally unbalanced at tbe moment. Hopefully the next group of stud QBs coming out of the draft all find their way to NFC teams.
He has had an MVP caliber season though and easily could’ve won mvp last year if not for Rodgers having an even better one. Again I’m not hating on Burrow. I like him much more than most. But I don’t know anyone other than you that would put him in a tier with Allen and Mahomes, yet. In fact most people have Herbert decisively ahead of him (I’m not one of those people).

What do you want me to say? The concensus is often wrong...! Especially in this age of the social media echo chamber.

Also, Henry is really is regressing. 2021 Henry was really not treat special

well, that is not an encouraging report. DT depth wrecked after week 1 and a 10 day break.

Settle played the last snap against the Rams and nothing noticeable happens. Maybe got hurt during practice.

Dude was dominating as much as ever last year. He just got hurt and missed a huge portion of the season.

Herbert is also much less effective as a runner compared to Allen. He had a 3rd and 1 where he rolled out and ended up starting to scramble, realized he couldn’t make it, and forced a pass into coverage. It was the sort of play that’s an automatic running first down for Allen.

Also, the football gods really don’t want us to prosper against Tennessee.

2020: BS covid game where the league bent over backwards to accommodate Tennessee and they got a bye week and 2 full weeks to prepare for us while the Bills had like 3 potential opponents on different days on their docket.

2021: A TD run that should’ve been called back and a slip on 4th and goal.

This year: DT injuries and now Davis is dinged up

Didn’t his YPA drop significantly before the injury? I read a pretty good article about his 2021 regression. Didn’t look good last week either.

Dude was a giant workhorse physical back and is getting older. We’ll see I guess

Edit: yea his yards per carry dropped over a yard. Barnwell at ESPN did an article that basically said when running backs at that age have that big of dropoff, they essentially never return to their previous levels.

I don’t think Henry will return to his 2019 or 2020 level. And his 2021 was not “dominating as much as ever”…even against the bills last season he had a mediocre game propped up by one BS run

He had over 900 yds in 8 games.! I don't think you can scoff at a guy who was going to put up close to 2k yards again.

Really? The AFC is stacked and the West is hyper-competitive. If Herbert and/or the Chargers were in the NFC, I’d agree with you.
I'm more talking about the last couple of years when talking about missing the playoffs. Their offense was in neutral in a must win game against Las Vegas last year to start the 2nd half (1 INT's, 1 turnover on downs, 1 punt, and a missed FG). Claims of a bad defense only go so far when you're surrounded with as many weapons as he is, and when only their last two losses last year saw their opposition score more than 28 in regulation. They're equipped to win shootouts but too many times he's accumulating stats in garbage time of losses. LA's defense essentially held KC's offense to 2 pts a possession, and he gets the loss because of an awful pick 6. Again, stuff like that happens too much.

And to be clear, I'm reacting about analysts putting him in the top tier with Mahomes and Allen such as here (Herbert is actually rated ahead of Allen here) - I think Burrow has done much more to separate himself from Herbert and has a much more legitimate shout to belong in the top tier after what he did last year. I have Herbert a tier below Allen, Mahomes, Brady, Rodgers, Burrow, and probably Jackson at minimum (to be clear, I don't necessarily have all 6 of those guys in the same tier either - the first 4 probably make up tier 1. I think Wilson's a little overrated too (look what happened to his team's winning percentages once they "let him cook").

I still don't think some analysts appreciate how much of Buffalo's offense Allen represents, and how much other teams have to key on him, both in terms of how often Buffalo passes in neutral downs and how big a part of the running game Allen is.

Yea because of his insane volume of carries. I think well over 200 carries in eight games. That’s way more than singletary had in 16 games

I’m not scoffing at him, but he was seriously less effective last year. Before his injury and before he got another year older!

My daughter and cousin play D&D, I don’t. But I’m intrigued by the “turns” / possessions concept over time/clock considerations, because it would by default value turnovers and, at a high level, teams who win the turnover battle in games and over the season are highly correlated with individual game wins and season record success. I don’t know that time of possession is as highly correlated. I will search for the article.
I recommend looking into the warhammer version of nfl blood bowl. It is all about probability, time management and quick positioning (when playing with a time limit).

Almost every action is decided by a die roll so it's mathematics galore to come up with a good strategy.

I think a lot of blood bowl players fall victim to the loss aversion fallacy. The game is about minimizing risk but they get stuck in that mindset and fail to act on opportunities that really give them a 50%+ chance to win.

A lot of playoff games (as well as finals) end early because the coach has a complete meltdown. Really hard game to get into but hilarious.

He has 1 or 2 picks in the end zone, which is still pretty crazy it's that low.

Watching RedZone but from what I’m seeing:
Baltimore looks dialed in, Miami doesn’t, Indianapolis isn’t going to do much this year, and Detroit could cause some waves in the NFC North if they play like this all season.

Lamar Jackson is on one. Miami still looks rusty or off or something. Tua continues to not worry me at all.

It is so hard to watch mere mortals play quarterback anymore.
Several times I've seen a play break down, the QB extend it, but not complete it and I think "Josh woulda made that throw, no problem". We are spoiled
