What in the actual f*** was Hackett thinking there?

50-some seconds left. Russell Wilson, Sutton, Jeudy, Hamler, 2 good RBs and a solid TE. 4th and 5.

Why on earth do you decide to kick a 64 yard field goal? I know legs are improving........but 60+ is still 50/50 AT BEST.

I take my chances with Russ there. Go with who brought you.

Oh it’s so dumb. A 64 yard field goal with almost a minute left is wildly funny

Hackett being a dumbass, Lovie Smith playing for a tie on 4th at midfield, Zac Taylor (I guess maybe the kicker?) not letting the clock run down on their OT punt to the Steelers, thus giving a division rival a chance to win... So many stupid f***ing decisions and it blows my mind that the first two are by idiots who just keep getting NFL jobs. Crazy
It still blows my mind that NFL teams don't employ 20-something y.o. whiz kids who've played a ton of Madden to help with clock management and that (idk if this is the case or not) they don't have someone watching the TV broadcast for the benefit of quick replays of big moments. Thinking of how Chase scored that TD Sunday where he was incorrectly ruled out at like the half yard line when he'd broken the plane and the Bengals rushed up to run another play instead of challenging.

only 2 of 41 64 yard attempts in history have been made, so at best it was .05% odds. But McManus long is 60, and the Seahawks iced his first attempt which was woefully short, so really it was 0%, which was the actual result.

I could be wrong but I don’t believe that teams can have anyone watching the broadcast in real time to relay info from the broadcast. Plus we all know how bad broadcasts can be sometimes with showing replays.

I still don’t understand how on earth he’s gotten as far as he has in his career.

Be a Son of a coach, go to teams with poor rosters, so you have a built-in excuse of why they failed and not you, and then go to a team with a QB that makes you look good enough to be able to become a head coach. Kiss up to the right people…profit.

The Bills put up a -45.9% defensive VOA Thursday night and an overall VOA of 69.7 (In simple terms, they were 46% better than the average defense, and the team was 69.7% better than the average team) :eek2:

I suspect that performance will only look better as the season goes on and opponent adjustments starts getting added into the mix.
