Well for once they're actually playing the top prospects in the roles they're expected to have at the NHL level. Imagine 2/3 of your first line and power play one unit being comprised of career AHL players. Absolutely idiotic that's what was done last season.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Exactly my thoughts!!!

The Kings need to cycle in some AHL prospects this year to see what they got at the NHL level. We won't have that luxury when more kids need to pass through waivers.

Didn't see any reason why, but looks like Turcotte isn't in the lineup vs COL tonight

that breakaway save was so strange, immediately paddle down before a move was even made

I think Bjornfot needed the time down, and I'm just hoping they aren't bringing him back up too soon as a knee-jerk reaction.

The Kings have been frustrating to watch but I would rather prioritize long-term development of the young players at the Kings' expense, especially since the Kings record is still ok.

Spence is a rarity in today's NHL, a guy with a bomb slap shot/onetimer that can get it on target through traffic accurately.

If that shot the Eagles scored on wasn't tipped--hard to tell--then I don't care about the rest of Cal's night because that's exactly the type of momentum killing bullshit goal that got him tanked from the NHL, the immediate response floater. That's mental. Stay focused. Edit: looks like it was tipped based on sound and goal celly

With Meyers leading the line I think it’s pretty conclusive it was tipped. That being said, Cal still looked a little shaky on some of those saves (the breakaway being one).
