I can't forgive the Reign playing this badly when I have to listen to the Roadrunner's broadcast have an aneurysm every time they score

Haha. It sounds like two bros watching the game at a bar while just happening to be mic'd up.

What the heck happened to Turcotte missing his 6th straight I believe. His leg fall off. Man seems like kid is made of fine china.

This has been a bit of a touchy subject the last year or so. I think at this point it's safe to say his durability is a legit concern.

How are they going to give a major for goalie interference? There was no sign of injury except for the goalie lying down for two minutes until he was miraculously healed from a gunshot wound.

Yeah I just don't know what to say. Kid fell right after a faceoff last season looked like no one touched him and he was out for a while. Turcs is still young but man hasn't been fully healthy since being drafted. Just injuries one after another.

LOL No worries. But I watched his last game and didn't see anything that happened during the game. All of a sudden out for the next 6. Who knows hope it's not serious.

If it's the one I'm thinking of he took a pretty dirty high hard hit from behind and got together slowly but returned, i was shocked he stayed in that game

I read it as he wants to see Brown go out with a bang. That sort of stuff can get a team really invested emotionally, beyond a usual level, so I have no issue with what he said.
I hear you and understand the thinking. However, a more capable and productive RW there would go much further and be better for 55 and the team than whatever "emotional investment" 23 can provide. Plus, shouldn't 11 & 8 be sufficient for "emotional investment?"

I’m more than fine with Brown finishing out his contract this season, but I’ll be pretty disappointed if he gets re-signed in the offseason. I don’t want to be the team that trades one of their best all-time players three months before his final contract ends though. That just isn’t right.

Brown just shouldn’t be with Byfield is all. Put him with Lemieux and Lizotte.

You know what you're absolutely correct. If I recall correctly he got smoked behind the net. Dayum Turcs just can't catch a break. I'm hoping it's not a Con....n issue f***.

Here are the Reign highlight's from today, brought to you by the worst PBP announcer in the AHL, Adrian Denny. The left out the Reign's first goal scored by Frk.

holy cow he sounded like he was gonna cry by the end of that.. brutal

Though I haven't listened to other AHL broadcasts, I already concur he must be the ***damn worst.

Yep almost 100% sure that is the reason he's been out. I was also pretty surprised he stayed in and thought maybe he weathered that one, but guess it wasn't meant to be.

I know genetics and all that, but whatever Blake Lizotte eats, Turcotte should be eating that too. Kid takes as much of a beating as anyone I've seen and he just keeps coming back for more. It's kind of amazing to me actually.

I think it's hilarious. I sometimes watch the Roadrunner highlights when they get blown out just to hear how depressed he gets

LOL seriously I may be the only one that actually enjoy his tears when he calls games. It's the best. Well best of the worst. His tone from elation to utter disappointment is absolute comical.

My god that guy gets a Mishkin-like hard on whenever something even remotely interesting happened to the RR.

Is it just or does Vilardi look like he only tries a handful of times a game. Every game I see I watch him the whole shift and he looks like he’s floating.
He was not as engaged yesterday as much as I would like to see. He did make a very nice play on that steal and pass into the soft zone that Fagemo slammed home. I did not see the game on Saturday, so I can't comment on that. To me, it still looks like he "conserves" his energy a lot on the ice, more similar to a D man in that way than a forward. Still his biggest issue to me, and I'm a huge pro Gabe guy, I love his skill set.

Re Spence- I think part of the buzz comes from Spence looking far better in the AHL than Durzi did and seeing Durzis play in the NHL. Given the amount of points Spence has put up and very competent defensively....not hard to think Spences ceiling higher and maybe more productive. Spence looking like a stud at 20 years old when Durzi still had some rough spots at 22.

Not locked in stone by any means...but seeing Durzis success and how Spence looks better now than Durzi ever did the AHL- gives something to compare. Doesnt mean it will happen and a lock- but pretty rare for a 20 year to look this polished playing against vets. Spence has a chance to win the Defense Scoring Title as a Rookie.....would love to know the last AHLer to pull that off.
