Great comeback win last night over Stockton 5-4 in OT. If Gravel is sent back down at some point, combined with Trotman coming back, this team could make a run.
 
I doubt Gravel will be back.

He could play the right side with McNabb on the left, for a solid,
young 3rd pair for the Kings.

They could send down Gilbert or Green with no chance of losing them, I would think.

JMHO.

Yes, the second period saw some rain and puddles.

How many times have you heard a play-by-play guy say the goalie sprinted out in a snow angel on the pond? You can see for yourself:



The funny thing is that NHL Network showed video of it from Sheng PANG and had the Reign winning the game. Then again, maybe they meant the rain.
 
My question is why the game wasn't abandoned? I can't imagine the Kings or Oilers thought it was a good idea to throw out their prospects in such incredibly dangerous conditions.
 
IF the AHL was on the ball, they could have seen the heavy band of rain that was coming through (just look at the radar on your phone people) and SHOULD have delayed the start of the 2nd period by 25-30 minutes, then the conditions would have been fine with a good sheet of ice. Really, really poor management by the league and the Condors. It was ludicrous.
 
Kempe seems to be getting into a rhythm. 2 more goals tonight and I believe thats 5 goals in his last 8 games, but I could be wrong about that.

Kempe only scored one goal the other night, he has 3 in his last 5 games and definitely playing more consistent. The Mersch injury though is going to hurt this team quite a bit.
 
Brodzinski and Amadio were dynamite all night.

Brodzinski going to hit 20+ goals this season, guy has a legit wrist shot.
 
Wish I watched THAT game.

I always hoped Hensick could have stuck in the NHL. Mostly because he would have been yet another kid who kicked my ass growing up who made the show :P
