It was a close series that just every f***ing thing that could go against us did. I think and hope we're in for a big, interesting off-season but we're not as far off as some will claim. But still need to improve as always and have a hell of an opportunity to do so this off-season. Best wishes to Slavo.

yep, most frustrating series I've ever watched. Literally have never seen a series where a team outplays their opponent all 4 games and gets swept like this while not getting shit tier goaltending. But we f***ing found a way.

Tip your cap. They just beat the three best teams in hockey, including the best team in the history of the NHL regular season, to get to the Stanley Cup. All this talk about how the way was clear for us was disrespectful to an incredibly together Florida team. Just as tough and disciplined as we were, with a little more healthy talent.
There's gonna be a lot of crying about penalties, but that's the sport. There's gonna be a lot of crying about a hot goalie, but that's the sport.
This team will be back in the mix next year, hopefully with more healthy goal scoring.
Until then, be thankful that you have a team to break your heart.
Good luck Mo. You deserve to win one.
(P.S. looking at how these games went down, sometimes you've just got to accept that the other team is the team of destiny.)

Bullshit non-goalie interference call on the game winning PP goal.
Bullshit league that's barely above the WWE with it being scripted. I don't care what anyone says. The refs kept blowing the whistle against us at timely moments in the series in favor of Florida, but ignoring calls against Florida.

Their effort deserves to be commended. Every thing went the other way this series and they still battled until the very end.

Sometimes you have to create your chances and create your breaks. We simply do not have the kinds of players who can do that, at least not in our forward lines.
Until we fix that, we will continue to fail just like this every year, despite the fancy stats saying we shouldn't

I mean they came in 4th in the league. All the teams that went all in at the deadline lost already.

Those teams didn't have the cap space we did, and yet somehow we still came away with the most shit sandwich of all in the deadline deals.
We didn't sell the farm to go all in, but its not like the farm is proving good enough to get us over the hump

Ahh well. Made it further than we were supposed to in a year where we were unhealthy and didn’t load up. Made it farther than every team that did load up. Really well positioned to compete near the top of the East for a long time. Still need to add the scorer that Pacioretty was supposed to be. Wouldn’t hurt to get some size in the top 9 as well. Interesting offseason coming up.
