They have so many criticisms of our team/coach/gm/organization/city/province.

Might wanna look in the mirror before dishing out any advice for other teams, boys.

I think my favourite read was some diatribe that also involved pipeline protests for some reason. This is a hockey forum. :biglaugh:

Why are they mad? They have no depth and have 2 of the best players in the league who will be watching from home for the playoffs. That’s our fault? No, don’t blame anything Vancouver or British Columbia for that matter that the team sucked against Chicago.

For the Oilers posters here who are respectful, cheers to you. The ones who are bitter and mad, go to the gym and work out or something...

Lmao anyone read the oilers out of town thread. Hahaha they’re so mad
I may get blasted for this, and I'm ignoring their obnoxious posters that most fan bases have, but I feel sorry for the Edmonton team and fans. The Oilers (and the Leafs) were carrying the most fan and media pressure of all the teams in the bubble.

Edmonton will always have the glorious past of the Gretzky cup eras, but it doesn't ease their pain today. As a passionate fan of a team that has NEVER won the Cup, I can't find any joy in their misery.

Wild had no answer for Quinn Hughes......You could see the panic level every time he sashayed up the ice with the puck on his stick. At just 20, he seems to be able to do whatever he wants with the puck out there.

Three assists in the pivotal game three, and a key goal and assist last night with the Canucks down 1-3 to the Wild. Normally that's when Minny goes into a suffocating shut-down and doesn't give their opponents a sniff.

After 50 years, the Canucks finally have their Norris-caliber d-man. And you can't get to the promised land without one.

With suter they probably win that game, but still lose the series. Minny doesn't have the horses.
And boy does Zuccarello look like complete garbage. I hope for their sake its coaching.

Wild need to rebuild, but it’s going to be difficult with the long term deals they have in place for very old players, like Zuke, Suter, Parise, etc. I’m cheering for them to win the draft lotto on Monday. Certainly don’t want the Oilers or Leafs to get Lafreniere.

Marky played last game like he was tired, but when he’s rested he is great. We are very good 5 on 5, so that’s okay if there are few penalties.
If Marky out plays the other team’s goalie we have a good chance to win the next series.

I'm happy for the development of our young players to be able to win a playoff round and see they have what it takes to win but this is going to be a really really tough next round and I don't mean to be pessimistic but we probably have a fighters chance to beat Dallas/St. Louis. Selfishly, I'd rather have had a 1/8 chance of winning Laf but at the same time, I'm happy with the outcome. Hughes is going to be so special.

Yeah thats just it they cant really rebuild, they NEED the luck of getting Laf and I wouldn't be upset.
Commiting to Zuccarello was a bad call unless he really turns it around, and they're stuck with parise and suter who are still quite good. So they kind of have to compete the next few seasons while they have a chance.

Imagine where they'd be if Fiala hadn't broke out with them!?
Kaprizov should help alot next season, but they still need atleast 2 top 6 fwds including a 1C and a 1G. Thats alot.
Atleast the Goalie can be had this year in FA if they're smart.

I wanted to post this last night but had problems - a big shoutout to Tanner Pearson for a great clutch game. I wanted to boot his ass after game 1, but he came through like the veteran we needed in the last 3 games.

Still absolutely blows my mind we got him for Gudbranson. What a ridiculously good trade that ended up being. He has games where he’s not noticeable, but then he has games where he manages to bring an offensive spark. Just huge.

Man I wish we could clone Tanev. Minus the injuries.
He’s the perfect partner and mentor for all these young guys. I don’t think he gets enough credit for Hughes success either.
It looks like Hughes might have rubbed off on him too. His second career three point night was timely!
They're both probably nearly equally responsible for the others high level of success this year. A seemingly perfect pairing. No reason to think that wouldn't improve, keeping Tanev should be an absolute priority.
