I get that Myers has to show a bit more self discipline..but geez..Some of those calls In the last two games were borderline imo..
Quite frankly, i don't like this signing at all. But i like that he has been physical in the wild series. I am more than happy to take his penalty because his play wears down the opponent.

and for this series, he wears down Fiala, he was ineffective for the last two games.

Yeah a team like the Laffs sure could use him. **** them though.:naughty:

Oilers as well. I think there was a rumor last year or the year before about them kicking tires on is availability via trade. Of all the teams I can think who need the help on D the Leafs and Oilers are at the top of the list.

It’s a beauty!
Man do I feel old looking at that picture. Those two kids look like they’re still in high school. There’s the future of the franchise though in one photo. Going to be fun team to watch!
Yeah. I'm only 23, so watching these guys is a new experience for me, but a really meaningful one. I'm starting to become an adult, and these guys are the first players really from my generation. I've spent my entire childhood looking up to these larger than life players who had that degree of separation from me that made them heroes.

For these guys it's different. These are guys that I have followed from before they were drafted. They remind me of people I played sports with in high school and through college. Seeing their growth and success is so much more intimate and meaningful for me. Every fan goes through doubt, trepidation, and nervousness for these guys. Every fan wants these guys to succeed, and seeing that success start to materialize is gratification unlike any other.

Last nights win was beyond anything I've ever felt watching sports, it was the culmination of that entire journey for these guys, and for me as a fan of this new core. Even watching Juolevi walk down that tunnel with a cheesy grin on his face after getting to play and win in a Canucks jersey was emotional for me after following his struggle over the past 3 years. This is a team full of unproven young talent, misfits from other teams that have been maligned, players with unlived up to expectations, and people being given a second chance to be something greater than what they were (Markstrom, Miller, Pearson, etc.).

This is a team that has been through it all. One should respect a team that has been through adversity together. One should fear a team that has been through adversity together - and has overcome it.

Still absolutely blows my mind we got him for Gudbranson. What a ridiculously good trade that ended up being. He has games where he’s not noticeable, but then he has games where he manages to bring an offensive spark. Just huge.

Would you aim to re-sign him next season, or trade him while his value is high? That will be an interesting story to follow next season.

I think you try to keep this team together as much as possible as far as you can stay under cap. Pearson is hugely important depth scoring that really comes through when some of our bigger scorers dont. He can just get that spark goal through traffic off a wrister to get things going. Doesn't need much space. He scored two goals like that this series to open up two separate games and they were some of the most important goals scored in the entire series imo

I think he is potentially expendable because of Hog and Pod, but they're unknown commodities for now. I think he'll maintain his value playing on that second line until they prove what they are one way or the other.

Has the team been using "I'm still standing" as their victory song all season and I somehow missed the memo?

I'm just so happy to finally see this franchise in a moment of triumph. It's been so much heartbreak and disappointment for a good majority of the last decade.

i have a very eerie special feeling about this squad. a mix of kids and veterans with playoff pedigree that knows how to win. FOR ALL the FLAKE that us fans give ON beagle/sutter/erikksson because of their contracts. It's like benning knew what he was doing when he acquired these guys. regular season sure we can say oh they are expensive for the roles that they are in etc etc. But this is why Mr. jim Benning brought them in for. LEADERSHIP, contribute help the young kids out who have NO experience in these types of situations. I LOVE IT. today i was watching the Jt miller clip reading the lineups, can't help but have a big grin on my face this morning. its just a different VIBE. when tanev scored that GWG OT WINNER, and the guys came out of the bench like little KIDS, it felt right again. for all the disappointments that us fans have endured for the past 50 years. 94 heartbreak, 2011 even WORSE.. then missing the playoffs for 3-4 years and getting kicked in 2015 by the flames. THE REBUILT started in 2014 when jim got hired, drafting horvat was the beginning of a NEW ERA OF the vancouver Canucks. This 2020 squad during a unprecedented time with No fans in the stands, can really be the underdogs and do some serious damage. FYI, trading that unprotected First last year to tampa which is now new jersey's is WORTH IT. if vancouver keeps on going far that pick will just slip lower for the devils.
