He's shown some flashes. He has some offensive skill that he pulls out every now and then. Problem is when he starts feeling it he goes too far with it. If he can keep it under control I think he has some upside. He'll never be more than a 5-6, but every team needs those guys. I'd like to see if there is more, not offensively, but overall especially in the d-zone below the goal line.
As long as it's not chasing the puck Carrier around the net I'm okay with below the line.

I'm not so sure when Hakinpaa comes back that Timmins will automatically be the odd man out, at least not for any extended period of time. Berube seems to really like Timmins so I could see a rotation happening there with 5 and 6.

Weren't they all on the team at the same time?
yup and Lilly got dumped.
Poor asset management on Lilly, but I always thought Timmins had the potential of being a Jake Gardiner 2.0, all the tools, potentially great offense, with the occasional brain fart defensively.
So far, surprisingly, has been solid on d. I think the offense with pick up with confidence.

Not really him he’ll go on waivers in a bit

The cap space my friend only reason we make such a stupid trade not even building him bacc up was cause of the ltir players
Not so sure about Myers going on waivers.

My understanding is that the management really like what they are seeing from Myers and don't want to put him on waivers as they don't think he will make through. They feel he's putting it together, much like Timmins has been.

It does explain why he hasn't been waived already.

That should tell you a lot cause he was the worst dman that played yet they liked what they saw ? So who gets waived/traded instead of him?who does he get the 23rd roster spot over?

He looked like he had zero idea what he was doing last year. Much better this year. Don’t know if it’s the new system or not but with how well OEL fits in. A healthy

Reilly. Tanev
OEL. McCabe top 4 (different pairings)

And a bottom 3 of Jani/benoit/Hakanpaa looks solid.

Leafs really just need a 2 c for now and the future (if Cowan is a winger) and a RHD for the future.

Not sure about this. I don't think they homed in on Benning, I think they got market value. Unless you are just referring to selling low. I think the coach tanked his value. He and Robertson both would have been worth more in the summer.

Packaging Liljegren + Robertson in the summer for a legit 3rd line C would have been a realistic move I think.

I think they tried hard to move one or both of them during the summer, but found no takers. As much as I hate to say this, I think that Robertson will likely end up on waivers and only a bottom feeder will be willing to invest more time in him.

You would think there is some out of favor prospect that a team would give up for Robertson.

It could be Treliving places more value on him than do some fans?

He does have 1 more goal than Domi+Kampf+Holmberg combined ... :biglaugh:

If you look at his NHL numbers last season at 11:23 a night I have a hard time thinking no takers. More likely they overvalued him and then he hasn't fit into the Berube game so they are stuck. I don't think he gets waived. More like a Kaliyev type player coming back in an exchange of tarnished toys.
