The biggest strike against Lavi is the insistence of using man to man coverage. They have absolutely no clue how or where to be in their own end….and it’s come back to bite them numerous times this year, and held us back from advancing in prior years.

We can all bitch about who is and who isn’t in the lineup, line combos, and ice time….all valid….but this scheme in our own zone is more egregious than anything else….by far.

JT Miller is a good player but he honestly got overrated on this site, people were saying he was elite.

He's not close to a MacKinnon/Kucherov/Barkov kind of player in terms of taking over a game and carrying the play.

He's way closer to another Zibanejad before his game really went down the shitter if were being honest ,just a tad more potent of a scorer.

I don't think anyone thought he was on the level of guys you mentioned.

Maybe not us but on them mainboards he was being celebrated like that kind of player prior to this season, when in reality he was never that caliber of player.

He's a mid level 1C, not top of the league. Hopefully no one was actively claiming the latter.

That's yet another reason why this roster currently doesn't hae anything that sticks out compared to other good teams. The current group on paper is simply not a cup competitor.

That is true but you do not get those type of players in a trade for what probably will be a mid first round pick.
