Ekholm and Walman are both top 4dmenBeing retooled already got younger in case you missed the trade. Oilers have Bouchard and that's basically it for top 4 dmen
Babcock was wrong to resign. It admitted to guilt. First rule is never admit you’re wrong if you did nothing wrong.
"NHL is clearing is Mike Babcock to coach the Edmonton Oilers."
I'm reading that sentence over and over trying to understand it.
They are essentially going from a zero emotion robot in Knob to the most controversial coach in the last decade. McDrai said the coaching was not good enough, why not go for the nuclear option while both of them are still with the Oilers? It's worth a try.For all the supposedly garbage and bullshit Babcock created. That sure was a short investigation, media had us neleive the stories and situation was so bad the investigation could take months not days. Something doesnt add up.
And im not a fan of the hiring, but I'm not in the dressing room. Everyone laughing at the Oilers and Mcdrai, yet its been public knowledge how close a group the players are. This was discussed among everyone amd everyone is obviously on board. Signing mew guys amd free agents might not be easy amd might be different
I agree. Ive actually bitched and moan for years all are coach's are to passive and we need someone with passion. I guess yiur right they decided to go nuclear on that end for onceThey are essentially going from a zero emotion robot in Knob to the most controversial coach in the last decade. The leafs passed on Cassidy tho.
I'm not sure what anyone expected, being a major asshole was never going to disqualify him. As far as I know, there's never been any accusations of anything going beyond being a major piece of shit. The league basically double checked nothing they have went beyond that and are letting Edmonton deal with any fallout. For all the supposedly garbage and bullshit Babcock created. That sure was a short investigation, media had us neleive the stories and situation was so bad the investigation could take months not days. Something doesnt add up.

Chaykas analytics said otherwise. We’re gonna see the first nhl GM tenure reliant almost entirely on ai.Yeah I know, I was surprised by that. I thought Toronto and Edmonton were going to be fighting over him this season, didn't work out for him.
cant believe they didnt factor in all the rational comments on this message board into the final decision
Maybe he requested a trade so Babcock doesn’t snatch his phone and discover all of his baby momasDarnell Nurse is a realgud player this may actually work
Read what the NHL/NHLPA statement reads. The allegations are disturbing. They are basically agreeing he is a major dickhead, but they can not restrict him from coaching. They did not say "he is innocent" or "the allegations are false"
He will lose the room in ten games.Say what you want about Babcock but deep down I think everyone knows the Oilers will probably do well under him.
Unfortunately the a$$hole hard ass coaches seem to be the ones who get the most out of players. Time will tellI'm not sure what anyone expected, being a major asshole was never going to disqualify him. He still has to be himself to be effective, but just has to know where the line is and not cross it.......He will lose the room in ten games.
If he bullies one player, the other will stand up for him.
