Team trades off their vets every year and tanks and they get a 4th 1st overall.

Half the teams in existence wouldn't be around if Wayne never left that city in the middle of no where. He's the only reason this upsets me. I used to really like the Oilers, but those days are completely over until he's gone and getting McDavid likely just bought him at least 3 more years on the job.

Agreed. Can't think of a result that would've been worse for the league. Edmonton will sellout games regardless of who they ice. Can't say the same for 25+ other teams in the league.
