How dare you cut the Daisy! Not too upset about Holloway though tbh. He can't produce at this level yet. He's close but not quite there imo.
I’m not upset about Holloway in a vacuum. I just hate how it’s because JP is using up so much cap and being utterly useless. He knows it too. And for a guy like that it probably weighs. He’s a more sensitive dude.

Am I not a fan of VD gone. We are a worse team today than we were yesterday. No one else on the d pairings can clear the crease. Nurse should be able to but he has no mean streak anymore..

Thanks for looking into this. I was curious about the same thing. It was seeming to happne one way more than the other.
I looked into it awhile ago for all teams and if you consider all back-to-back this is the number of time a team playing at home gets someone on the 2nd night of a back to back. Look how many times Anaheim faces a team on the second of back-to-backs. Almost half their home games (19 of 41), meanwhile San Jose and LA (the most likely teams that would part of a back to back including Anaheim only get 5 and 4. That's a ridiculous advantage and only goes to make Anaheim look even worse than their terrible record.

Calgary has a pretty high number where the night before is in Edmonton (9) while only twice the other way.

Though the gap is closed slightly where Edmonton gets four teams coming into town from further than Calgary (Vancouver coming from Vancouver, Seattle coming from Seattle, Tampa coming from Vancouver, and Arizona coming from Winnipeg) for the 2nd of a back to back.

Bettmans favo Canadian team and league leaders in Welfare points needs their food stamps.

If anything we should feel sympathy towards them.

They will also once again get the oppositions backup goalie tomorrow night. Doesn't seem to help them much, they've lost to a team playing their backup in 4 of their last 7 games. Despite getting every break possible from the league, they are somehow not even in a playoff spot.

I’m numb to anything that happens in that town. Even sympathy evades me.

Although because they have a dump for an arena I guess I should feel a bit bad. I mean what will we do if teams refuse to come to Alberta for road trips because of the chance of catching a communicable disease when they are in the saddledump?

As someone who lives here it sucks for concerts.

Sound is terrible and setup is garbage. You just know some artists skip Calgary because of the Saddledump. Need something new so bad. Problem is that it’s like 5 years behind where things should be. And still no real resolution in sight

I think the roof is the biggest issue there.

The rigging for most touring artists can’t be supported by the roof structure. Was almost that way since it was built.

Although, I did see the Stones in a stripped down show there in 2005. It was memorable.

@Ibanez

Does this look familiar? Built in 1965, that’s how old the idea was. Same architecture firm that designed that little old barn in cowtown. This was the home of the Phoenix Suns before the Footprint Center (aka America West Arena, first home of the Coyotes) and of course the IHL Roadrunners back in the 1970s. Seats more than the Mullet today though, Lol. I’ve been in it for a few concerts during the AZ State fair, it’s a real crap hole, every seat I’ve ever sat in should be tossed in the dump. Needs a stick of dynamite.

And now back to everything Oilers and latest trade rumours… ;)

Bettman doesn't have a favorite Canadian team. They are his 7 least preferred teams in the NHL.

Don't get me wrong, Canadian teams are not inconsequential to Bettman, they serve as slave teams that prop up his entire sportsbook shitshow.

You should contemplate where the Oilers rank out of those seven teams and how Edmonton can best be of assistance to Bettman's revenue sharing pyramid scheme.
