Crazy that we're getting almost a week off just with a 5 game series. Imagine how long the break would have been (too long) had the Oil closed out in 4 games. That would've resulted in a 9 day break.

Man, this playoffs is going to be going on till late June at this rate.

Theres no conceivable way that even the third round won't be done until sometime in June. Is this a summer sport now NHL?
It's supposed to be done by June 17th, finals are scheduled to begin on June 3rd, at the latest I believe.

Im going with 6 games,
LOYAL TO THE OIL

They can't pronounce or spell Draisaitl.

jk around but the fixation on McDavid, as if he's all they have to stop or be concerned about is um, interesting.

Heres an update. Career wise McDrai are deadheat tied with 87playoff pts in 54games. Meaning they both also have identical 1.61 Pts/ playoff game/career. Nobody else in the league is close.

But Drai has 6 more playoff goals than McD.

Nucks fans in Surrey probably wouldn't recognize Leon out of a lineup.
But I bet Nucks fans in Surrey have been put in a line-up

Not gonna lie I’m really nervous about this matchup. Can’t really put my finger on why. This feels like a tough out for the team,

Strange. I am probably more pessimistic than optimistic and this series doesn’t worry me at all. I don’t know if that’s good or bad.

Would need a compressed schedule of games every 2nd night and no long breaks between series to arrive at that. Actually even at that if series go 7 games (or if any of them do the third round doesn't end till around June 3rd. Which means SCF around start of June 6-7 and then going Till June 18. But thats presuming 7 games. So timing looks about right but still awfully long into June imo. Such a different experience. When I was in highschool Playoffs would end Early May. Now you could be seeing a playoff game at your grad. just seems strange how much its changed.

A lot of Canuck fans on the mains still think Draisaitl is a product of McDavid. It would be great if he could beast this series and put that narrative to bed.

I love how SN just picks a random date to suit their narrative…lol. Like what’s so significant about Apr 10th?
Now lets show the Pred PP top unit.

Nobody-Forsberg-Nobody
Josi Barrie (when not injured)

Preds have so few usable forwards on PP they can't even make one unit and have to play two D because they might as well.

The Preds when I've watched practically defend their PP. "Way to go guys, we didn't get scored on"

The narrative has been put to bed constantly for several years and resurfaced as recently as weeks ago even on this board. That Oilers even, some of them, engage in it is just sad. Drai fwiw is generally better than the best player in the world in the playoffs. Or at least more dangerous scoring.

There’s a bet between premiers and the bc premier brought up Calgary. Hard to believe really.

this is funny. One would think that the sports writer would proof read his material. Only in Vancouver. Anyone see the problem?

I just remembered the Canucks are about that have 2.35M, 4.76M, 4.76M dead cap the next 3 years from OEL's buyout. This depth they think they've acquired is about to walk out the door on free agency this summer.
Them pretending this is the opening of their cup window is absolutely insane.

We’ve had this discussion. Facts and being accurate aren’t the worry of today’s “journalists”. Vitriol and opinion not backed up? Plenty of that.

I haven’t read the whole thread, but man, this borders on way too long of a lay off for the Oilers. Oh well, whatever the hurdle is in front of you, ya gotta get over it as you scale the heights.

Vancouver is awesome!

How much crack do you have to smoke for this to make any sense?

Broom closet for 800bucks/mth anybody. No washroom, please defecate on street and piss in the ocean. Its where the sewage goes anyway.

But lets think this through. You have an expensive DT Vancouver condo. You are for some reason completely comfortable renting out, and giving keys to a person considering paying handsomely to live in a broom closet. Thats a worse idea than Airbnb.

From here to eternity. ;) I'm kinda jonesing. We haven't had a game since Wednesday. Only game even worth watching since was last night and the wrong team won....

I'd just be doing all the gardening but the soil is all too wet. All I hear about here is forest fires, drought, disaster but the ground is too wet to dig or plant. Go figure. Usually have the garden seeded by now. I have to find a project now. I'm whittling down to cleaning out the garage. You know you're bored when cleaning out the garage is the plan.
