From here to eternity. ;) I'm kinda jonesing. We haven't had a game since Wednesday. Only game even worth watching since was last night and the wrong team won....

I'd just be doing all the gardening but the soil is all to wet. All I hear about here is forest fires, drought, disaster but the ground is too wet to dig or plant. Go figure. Usually have the garden seeded by now. I have to find a project now. I'm whittling down to cleaning out the garage. You know you're bored when cleaning out the garage is the plan.
It’s cold at the lake too. I’m actually here in capital region for a few days, staying at my daughters’ in Ft Sask. Seems like every time I come for a visit, the dad fixit list is long. Oh well, I enjoy that sort of work so it’s good. She has a plumbing job for me and I confess, that although you only need to know 2 things to be a plumber (shit flows downhill and payday is Friday) it’s my least enjoyable task of handyman work. (With all due respect to tradespeople and plumbers, specifically :) ).

You are fortunate to get a garden in that early. We usually don’t plant until around May long and it’s a finger crossed situation to hope you can get the 90-100 day growing season in before a frost nails you.

Enjoy cleaning that garage out. Just remember, whatever you toss today, you will find a use for it in the next 3 months and be kicking yourself that you threw it out. :)

I can't stand plumbing. Toilets or repairing sinks is the worst. you have to be Quinn Hughes sized to get in those tight spaces. Give me carpentry or framing as a hobby anytime. Love that stuff. Anything I can stand up and do isn't work as far as I'm concerned.

The earliest I've ever planted here (seeds anyway) was April 18. Was a bumper garden that year. People amazed when I say that. The latest I've seeded over the last 10yrs is around right now. People that wait till May long weekend here are not paying attention, generally, to soil being ready long before that.

We have all our containers seeded or planted. Lettuce, Potatoes, Onions, and the like.

Edm was also playing 6 games in 9 days if I remember at the end of the season. Vancouver averaged 20 shots and barely beat the preds who had an atrocious PP. Obviously if the game opens up Vancouver has firepower and obviously skinner will need to be very good. But, edm isn’t nashville.

Subtle burn.;)
Was and wasn't. I mean the spiritual leader and guru of the LA Kings, Drew Doughty was saying this was no rivalry, that the Oilers trash us everytime. He said this before the playoffs started. Kopitar only scored in OT in the one game they managed to win and acted like it was the last SC win. The Kings to a man were being realists. They probably all had travel plans already arranged. Kings probably feel ok not getting swept on home ice. Only Arviddsson was seemingly deluded and he was the reason the Kings were playing the Oilers to begin with. lol that his last goal in last game of season with goalie pulled resulted in the Kings having to play the Oilers. He hasn't scored since.

This series was so much a foregone conclusion to even the Kings that will Feral only showed up one game and not even with crazy pills makeup on.

Why are Vancouver fans convinced Zadorov is going to spank McD? Did he light up a lot of Nashville guys?

I've been wondering the same thing

I watched their whole series, he scored a big goal for them but wasn't that noticeable physically

McDavid did well against him vs Calgary, no concern here about their D at all outside of Hughes. Im more scared about their offensive depth and their goalie is a wildcard

There’s a bet between premiers and the bc premier brought up Calgary. Hard to believe really.
Nothing that emanates from BC or the lower mainland is all that surprising. Its the whacked California of Canadian Confederation.

Heres some oldtimer dad jokes. How do you turn a great Canadian Yellowhead highway into a two lane windy blacktop without even passing lanes. Cross the BC border...

What do you call the average highway in BC? A joke.

What does secondary highway mean in BC? 4X4 only and chains in winter. Snow plow optional

What do you call prime realestate in BC? Richmond, practically sea level, or Chilliwack (actually all under sea level) lol As if this was the Netherlands and people had to live under sea level. jebus just buy land somewhere else.

Key will be on jamming up Hughes. Nash did a great job of double teaming him on forechecks and finishing off checks.
He is and will always be great w/ the puck in the O and neutral zone. He makes plays outta nothing

Petterson has been a massive disappointment. He can't handle physical play. I honestly would matchup Desharnais against him alot and have Vinnie push him around. Ceci and Nurse pass up way too many chances to be physical

Really think Kane and Perry need to finish checks on Hughes if he decides to pinch. Let him know there will be consequences.

Entire Hughes family seems to shy away from the physical stuff.

Best to stay in here and protect our innocent minds from all the garage that will be spewed on the main boards (both ways).

Not a series to take lightly, yet we are huge favourites with Demko out.

Need to finish hits on their stars which we weren't doing against LA. Canucks d are going to finish every check on our forwards. Also need to mimic Nashville finishing hits on Hughes because he starts getting rid of the puck quickly when that happens.

We won't maintin those pp and pk figures from the first round so we need to stay out of the box too. Thought we did a good job of that in the first round.

Doubt the lines get tweaked from last game but would like to see Nuge reunited with Hyman and McDavid. That was our best line this year. I do see the value of Henrique on the top line if it's a tight game because he's good defensively but I see this series being wild with lots of goals.

The Canucks have come up with 3 guys who are NHL quality goaltenders--impressive scouting.

They are deep up front too.

This will be a tougher test for the Oilers but I'll be an optimist and say Oilers in 6.
Some people worried about Cam too. lol. If the OIlers play to their potential, it won't matter which goalie will take 5-6 pucks out of his net.
