I'm an Oilers fan and I didn't despise Corey Perry. I admire players that have his kind of playoff elevation and compete and I want them to be Oilers...;) Wanted him for 20yrs. heh

Yes sir.
Isn't a POS in hockey (Cooke, Avery aside) that I don't have respect for. Talent is talent. And you think rats and douches don't take a wee bit of extra pounding over the years? Respect. ....

And now respect and get to cheer for him!!

Perry better get used to reviews going against him now that he is on the other side

Nope
We've just evened out our Hyman factor

This is also nice insurance if Hyman gets hurt for that net-front role on the PP. He’s too old to play big minutes in the top 6, but I could see him getting a few shifts with the big guns from time to time if the situation calls for it.

CP hand wringing about our "classless" org is funny considering the skeletons the Flames have in their closet.

Don't hate the player, hate the game
Thing is if Calgary managed to sign Perry I doubt CP members would slag him like they are right now. The only thing that these Neanderthals live for is to hate the Oilers... I mean I hate the Flames too but good golly! I can't imagining hating a sports franchise so much that it ends up being my reason for living.

I like that Perry won't be in right away and that he will probably practice a week and then get in on the final game before the All Star break. If true then that's smart. No need to throw him into the line up right away. Let him try and get caught up with the system first and possibly gain some chemistry with some players he might play with in practice first.

Whhhy couldn't the bonus be all playoff landmarks?

I'm okay with pushing cap space to next season as long as there is a plan. We don't have that many holes to fill so there's that

Nice to see other fanbases get Triggered by signing Perry lol. Leafs fans were all like "yeah Perry would be a great add" but then he signed with Edmonton and they're all like "Yeah he's cancer in the locker room"
Every teams fanbase last week: Perry would be a great add to our bottom 6. Proven playoff performer, good guy in the room. Plus everybody deserves a second chance.

Oilers sign Perry.

Every teams fanbase today: Perry is washed up and useless. Even though I have no idea what happened in Chicago, he should be banned from the league for life. Oilers should be penalized for this heinous signing.

The "HE'S BAD IN THE ROOM!!" comments are so dumb I don't even know where to start.

Literally any report from anyone for his entire career says the opposite, and even his teammates in Chicago seemed chapped that he was out the door when asked about it. But doing something dumb while drunk once = "bad in the room" apparently.

Plus the wagon is absolutely rolling right now and we just had two guys return to the lineup last game (Gags and Holloway).

Perry will get his chance soon, but we’re not in panic mode. Let him ease into the team, while at the same time reward the other guys with some icetime.

The question I have about the flames is what exactly it is about their environment that causes people to have mental health breakdowns so frequently.

Like it's a pretty low pressure environment all things considered... A little bizarre how they have more of that than pretty much the entire rest of the league combined. Something else wacky is going on to make it so hostile that people just straight up losing their mental.

Or as some call him - Roar-y Perry. 😘
I've heard that people have problems with the chinooks.
