Hyman is contributing but not as much as either of his linemates or a couple of other players, he is a passenger (most people are with McDavid, not his fault).

Brown could not play and it'd be the same results.

Don't forget Ceci.

Campbell is in the minors for them, maybe we should have kept him.

Pickard is a backup, that's a huge loss.

Up until this series Hyman was the leading goal scorer in this years playoffs……..how many did Marner, Matthews, Willy and Tavares have

Florida is the template for building a winning team right now and what a shocker…….they haven’t built their team with 50% of their cap on for soft similar forwards, but hey Dubas was smarter then everyone else ever in the hockey world

this is why if they don’t find any takers for manner, they’re better off just letting him walk for nothing.

Edmonton is my #2 team, I was hoping as hard as I've ever hoped for a matchup for a Toronto/Edmonton Finals, and instead this feels like PTSD/re-living the trauma cheering for Edmonton:

1. Running into a hot Bobrovsky
2. Flaky goaltending that sometimes feels like maybe it's good enough, sometimes feels like a dumpster fire.
3. Top stars underperforming.

#3 It’s a circular dynamic, the reason the top stars aren’t scoring is a hot Bobrovsky. And Skinner may well be sucking the energy out of the team, much like is often stated when one of our Netminders let in 1st shot goals.

Similar to the thinking about stock purchases, just go against what the “experts” are predicting. After all “experts’ have been running our team and it’s the same oh same oh.

I'm Canadian first, Ontarionian second, and Torontonian a distant third.

So embarassing Edmonton choked like this. I'd feel embarassed for them. But I'm already embarassed enough by the Leafs humiliating losses year after year.

Oilers fans can be embarassed for the rest of the country I guess.

Well, like I said earlier. Pro sports team allegiances don’t align that well with patriotism and geography. Like for example, a New York Islanders fan won’t switch to a Rangers playoff run because it’s New York (and region) over anything else, and I doubt they cheer for the Florida Panthers to stick it to Canada etc.

Personally, not going to enjoy an Oilers championship that much so I’m definitely not wearing their embarrassment in the finals if we want to call it that - as a Canadian failure.

Oilers got far but would rather run it back than be the Oilers. Now those Panthers... I am jealous.

The one GM as bad as Dubas, and Edmonton brought him in. That defense they built is a total clown show. It's been the best part of the finals, just watching how awful they are.

I said this all along I will never cheer a Canadian team on in the finals because it had to be the Leafs to bring the Cup home north of the border and I am relieved that the series is already over.
