The frustrating part for oiler fans is that they have got one generational talent, which is the hardest thing to get.

Now, they can't execute the easier part of building a competent team around him, eight years into the program.

They tried for 3 seasons with Mac and Drai but realized they are not enough. So one more tanking season to get 1st OA. Gary, do you hear them?

The funniest part is that their analytics are actually significantly better than... maybe ever?

Unfortunately they're 26th in high danger shooting percentage at 5 on 5 (31st in all situations) and 32nd in high danger save percentage. So they aren't finishing and if they make any mistakes they aren't getting saves.

Great team having bad puck luck. They're a great pick to win the cup right now.

McDavid gets put with Draisaitl the next game every time he goes scoreless. It's almost like his point totals are more important than the team's success.

I don’t think they’re catching Vegas for the Division but a lot of the Pacific teams are spinning their wheels and still within reach.

I hate the Oilers and their fans but I think they’ll turn it around and go on a heater at some point. McDavid and Draisaitl are good enough to drag the rest of that garbage heap into the playoffs at least. They certainly won’t be winning the Cup though. Not even close

The team is not being carted around by McDavid and Draisaitl and if those two do not dominate this team is bad.

With how difficult it is to make a trade — firing the coach might be the only move they can make to try and salvage the season.

They're going to need a big winning streak soon-ish or it gets dangerous. Still possible to turn the season around . Stars started 1-7-1 ( had a big winning streak afterwards though ) in 19-20 and then went to the finals. So it's possible but Oilers need to start winning soon and alot
