Martinook and his contract are the absolute least of this teams problems.

Maybe not now, but I'm looking ahead to next year when his roster spot could be going to Nadeau, or perhaps someone else who could be useful.

I'm not a fortune teller, but I feel he's begun what's going to be a bad decline ala Burns. He has a habit of falling down a lot more than I remember him doing. It's concerning. He hits the post a lot. I guess to be fair the team in general sucks right now and cant score for shit but it's just frustrating to watch.

The bed has been made but his current contract here should be his last.

Personally, I think that’d be best case, but I don’t really think that happens.

I firmly believe this year’s team is going nowhere with or without Rantanen. With that in mind, they’re most likely to be without Rantanen on 7/1. I’d rather they get something then go through the inevitable 2nd round, at best, exit and subsequent”we tried to keep him” spiel. Spare me the drama and just move on.

If he’s willing to sign, cool, I just don’t see it.

That I agree with. If we're pulling the plug on this team...pull it hard. I don't think we're done...but if the front office thinks we are, really embrace that conclusion and reset for 2025-26.
