I was at the game tonight.

This team is totally pathetic. Seriously, every one of them outside of McDavid and Hall. Total losers.

Three goals we get, and in heartless fashion, gift the score right back to the opponent. The Goalie; Crouissant (might as well call him that because he's soft and twisted) was just brutal. Jordan Eberle goes through the motions.

Seriously I don't know enough about hockey to tell you all the things that are rotten on this team; and it's just another meaningless loss in the thousands. But this team is total stink. Not worth the money spent to watch them play live or the energy to turn them on the television. Honestly awful and embarassing just 80% of the time.

Go away, Eberle.

Seriously though, I've never seen him miss that many times point blank. Felt like he had about 4 point blank chances in the slot and a missed tap in on a perfect feed from Draisaitl. Its unfortunate because thats what he's here to do, score, and when he's not despite getting numerous high quality chances he doesn't bring a whole lot to the table.

Understand the frustration when you pay to go watch your favorite team on the road and they turn in a performance like that. Think you are a bit over the top about how bad they were. To all those who say we totally outplayed them and outchanced them I think you exaggerate as well. CBJ did get better chances-almost every goal was cross crease to a guy who had time and picked his spot. Would have been nice if our goalie saved a few more but they really did have better chances and potted them. Would be nice if we can win a game when our keeper wasn't a star. We didn't finish and had less chances in poorer positions. Very few 2 on 1s or 3 v 2s. Interesting how good we did in the dot and some proof that this stat can be deceiving. Hope we get on track next game and keep making some progress.

Yeah, he had good chances tonight and couldn't bury them. One where he missed the net up high and on the same play, he did a spinning backhander that was saved.

Best forwards were McDavid, Hall, and Draisaitl tonight. Hall and McDavid didnt look too out of sync with each other as well.

^ Sounds like that fall off the bandwagon hurt a bit...

LOL the fall off the bandwagon. Love being called 'bandwagon' on an Oilers board, because we've been so great since 2010 when I started following the Oilers.

Probably saved by only the Cleveland Browns in the NFL of being the most moribund franchise in sports. And they haven't had four number one overalls.

I feel like I've been waiting for progress for five years. It's not really tonight so much as it's every time I spend the energy to just watch the Oilers.

They never really allow you to get excited.

Holy moly some people should take a breather. Relax. We didn't even get outworked. Third game in four nights coming off a playoff like atmosphere. A green goalie. Nikitin.

Brush it off

Any TMAC comments

I was sitting right behind the net. His spinning backhand actually missed the net completely, wasn't even a SOG.

Eberle is totally low energy and worthless. Doesn't look like the same player as in the past.

 Yeah, I don't think the term bandwagoner fits in with oiler fans right now. Any oiler fan that still gives a **** about this team despite how bad its been for years is just completely loyal. I don't believe many franchises in the NHL could go through with what the oilers have been through without their team being relocated. Oiler fans are among the best fans in sports in my eyes.

I guess you didnt watch the last 3 or 4 games, or even tonight. This is a game they win most of the time if their goalie makes a few saves, and if a couple guys don't blow their coverages. There's been some lowly frustrating games, and even stretches this season, tonight is not one of them.

I thought it got saved. Weird.
To be fair, it's 6 games in 9 nights -- in 6 different cities. The team apparently arrived late in Columbus at 2am as well. And the jackets haven't played since Monday, I believe, while the oilers had a battle outbullying the flyers last night.
The schedule hasn't been kind to the oilers the same way the injury bug plagued this team again this year.

it wasn't the worst game...but they did give up the momentum 3 flipping times within a minute of scoring.

That is Oilerz level stupid.

and beyond that...personally I think McLellan blew that one.

I don't at all. Can barely get up to watching the Oilers play this team. Not sure theres been a more pointless franchise in the league. Probably Arizona but shortlist.

I don't know theres a team in the league that says "Wow, we're playing Columbus tonight, you guys amped"

um, no, not ever..

Pittsburgh ;)

So what if Brossoit had a bad game?

This is a rookie goalie who is going to have a bad game every once and a while just like all rookies do. He's also had two unreal games prior to this where he kept our team in the game and was let down in the end by the rest of the team.

It's okay to say he had a bad game and was a big factor in the loss but its stupid to go any farther than that since he's only 3 games into his NHL career. All goalies have bad games and to write them off because of one is stupid.

The game says something about Brossoit.

Why not give him half the games for the rest of the season?

That's only seven or eight more games.

If they are all this bad, then it's time to go backup shoppin'
