4th line looks more like 3rd line

We know that a number of fans here don’t like when Hutchinson starts. This has been well-established. So why do these fans insist on posting this dislike every single time he plays. Shouldn’t it just be taken as a given at this point?

Hutch had a rough last outing but he's also had a few really good games this year as well. Here's hoping he's in the zone.

Why can't Edmonton beat the other playoff teams like we do then?

They beat them sometimes. It's also still early in short season so sample is small.

Remember when Boston couldn't beat us during the season but beat us in the playoffs? What does that tell you?

Well maybe it'll be a couple weeks until he backups ... but if they don't make a move then that'll be the tandem.

I guess wait and see. I can't see them not making a move before the deadline if he really is hurt long term. No way Hutch is who you count on if Campbell goes down.

I think they will acquire a goalie, if Quick is available I think that's who they'll target. Or they'll try and bring back Bernier maybe

Personally I don’t care where we finish. Top 4 are pretty set.

It’s probably going to be Edmonton. Montreal. Winnipeg.

I really don’t see any of them as harder than the other.

we need a legit healthy goalie.

Bottom Line
We need Fred and Soupy to share the workload somehow and for Keefe to ride the Hot goalie for the remainder of the year
If they can both stay healthy , then go with the tandem system .
Pretty good tandem if you go that route !
Then next year , make it a priority to get the Goalie situation fixed , throughout the organization.

This is true.

But, unfortunately neither of them has been healthy. The trade deadline is looming, we can pray that they both get and stay healthy. Or we can get a goalie in the next two weeks before it's too late.

At this rate we might go to the playoffs with Hutch

I know it won't happen, and we will get smoked.. but PLEASE let's get another Hutch win (or shutout lol). The tears over there will be hilarious. Plus first place solidified is nice.

There's a lot of people that like to share their every thought regardless of how repetitive.

BTW....did you hear Andersen hasn't been playing well?

By that logic why do fans insist on posting their delight when matthews snipes a goal. Shouldn't it be taken as a given at this point?

So before the game begins, a decent shot from the hash marks goes in lets say 80 mph. There is clear unobstructed view, Is it, no chance for the goalie, lucky save if made, bad goal if it goes in.

Id say it would have to be a lucky save, definitely not a bad goal to be given up from there.
Unfortunately it's both.

Goalies have a tough job and have to deal with tough criticism.
It will always be in the goalie to be in position and be as big as possible and fight for view of the puck. If he saves a fluke shot its lucky, if it goes in he should of been in better position and fought to see it. The only time I see a goal go in and a goalie is not at fault is a clear deflection or a cross ice pass that the goalie has to fight to get across to make the save. Anything other than that (and a few other exceptions) it's a player beating a goalie.. which obviously happens a lot these players are top caliber... The goalies the last defence, it's the players job to beat the goalie. A good goalie makes it difficult for them to do that...

Oilers are not a good team.

14-13 record vs. every team not from Ottawa and a negative goal differential.

They have McDavid, Draisaitl, RNH are Nurse are solid, Smith can be and then the talent drops off a cliff. Leafs should sweep these pretenders in this mini-series, even with a 3rd-string goalie in net.
