Dell only has a 877 save percentage this year (albeit 3 games). Jersey is going no-where. Not sure how it impacts the cap, but it may be an necessary evil for Dubas at this point. We have seen enough of Hutch to know he can't start multiple games in the play-offs. Reality hit with the Avs last year as well. There must be a tweener out there somewhere

Hutch is going to allow a bad goal in the first 5 minutes and our team will be torpedoed again like in that Ottawa game. He'll then allow another two crappy goals before we recover and make a close game of it. I've seen Hutch's movie before, it always ends the same. :(
That sounds a lot more like an Andersen movie this season than a Hutchinson one...

Yup, bad. The funny thing is that just a couple of weeks ago, some preferred Hutch over Andy.

Rest and healing goes a long way definitely.

According to this tweet however, the only choice they have is to not rush Jack.

There you have it.

It's unfortunate, but the truth is that neither of our top 2 goaltenders can be counted on to stay healthy going into the playoffs as they have both been dealing with lingering injuries that can be aggravated at any given moment.

Compared to the other teams in our division, it seems like we are the only team that has these durability issues in goal, and it's eventually going to bite us in the ass unless Dubas does something about it.

Bottom Line
We need Fred and Soupy to share the workload somehow and for Keefe to ride the Hot goalie for the remainder of the year
If they can both stay healthy , then go with the tandem system .
Pretty good tandem if you go that route !
Then next year , make it a priority to get the Goalie situation fixed , throughout the organization.

Seems like Andy will be back by next weekend. They're giving Campbell one night off to be cautious.

They'll then start rotating Campbell and Andy more often and you wont see Hutch much.

If they don't get a goalie its a bit of a gamble but that what appears to be happening so far.

Seems whatever injury they both have they could play through it if needs be.

Weather the S-Oilers win or lose tonight ,
Damn ! They have a ugly lineup other than The obvious 2some and 1 defender ...
After that , I don’t know , considering the opportunities they’ve had drafting high for what it seems like 20 years , they really don’t have much of anything to show for it
Yikes !

Draisaitl, McDavid, Puljujarvi
Nugent-Hopkins, Turris, Yamamoto
Ennis, Haas, Kassian
Shore, Khaira, Archibald

Nurse, Barrie
Lagesson, Larsson
K. Russell, Bear

Exactly. If we’re not making a move in goal this season was all for nothing. I mean unless Freddy goes on fire in the playoffs we won’t make it out of the division. IMHO

Quite a bit off topic ...
But I just watched and revisited a video on Marcel Dionne and they also got into a bit on the
“Triple Crown Line ..”
Wow was Dionne crazy good , real good , elite and so was that incredible line ..
One of the best lines ever
I miss the 3 man line units , I truly think that the change from 3 man units to 2somes nowadays really hinders full potential of points and , stability on the team and also Fan appreciation in watching a great Power Line

go Leafs go
Hyman AM MM

How many lines go into a all star game as a unit ??

special recognition to the greatness of Gilbert Perrault and the “ French Connection Line “as well ...
For anyone who hasn’t heard of or seen these players and or lines , please do yourselves a favour , also think about Perrault especially when thinking of McDavid

Go leafs Go

All reports have Andersen out indefinitely. He hasn’t even touched the ice for practice since his last start. There is 0% chance Andersen is playing next week

This is a meaningless game in the sense that it's not worth starting a tired Campbell and blowing out his hamstring.

Know what the scenario is if that happens?
Michael Hutchinson. For 12 games in the next 20 days or something.

A little rest goes a long ways sometimes.
rest from what?,,,,,,,,,,,, he has had 3 starts in the last 10 days

and 6 on the season,,,he is well rested
