Islands in the stream.
I know the Pens are not what they used to be but to utterly dominate them like that is odd. Sometime in the 3rd the camera cut away to Sid looking blankly into space like he knows any glimmer of hope of the old core making a run are toast. Then they cut away to Malkin who was doing the same thing.
The look of getting old. I can recognize it indelibly. hehe

Its like going to a hot nighclub and your 40. just go home..;)

Imo we have two backup goalies right now.

To use NHL23 ratings:

One is a starter regressing towards a backup, the other is an AHL starter trending towards a Starter/Elite.

It's not an ideal situation, but I have far more faith in Skinner playing some average goaltending (.906) than Campbell. Average goaltending can take us a distance, even in the playoffs if we played with the defensive detail we did tonight.

More of a sarcastic comment from me on how Pitts fans have had Lemieux/Jagr and then just years later Crosby/Malkin but in the short term interim the support dropped like mad. The NHL has gifted this franchise success. Also considering the circumstance of the Crosby lottery.

In before the Penguins free fall, are in 21st place and win the lotto, getting Bedard.

Koskinen got a lot of hate because of his contract but honestly the guy was a moderately decent backup goalie. If we had a real starter and he was making 1.5-2M he would have been largely fine.

Campbell I generally believe is the better player though he definitely hasn't played like it this year.

I blame Chiarelli for all the hate Koskinen got.

Who is this deranged poster that is spouting off about facts with respect to our goalies but cannot look at the most basic goalie metrics?

Just inquiring about the atmosphere, prices

Turn it into another Hangover movie
I’ve never been to Vegas
Expensive, loud, beautiful rink. Everyone complains about Edmonton's pricing for drinks and food, but its the same price in the USA and when our dollar is where it is, its more expensive.

Tickets, your looking for tickets around 200 each in the lower bowl, never did try finding them on actual game day though.

Football in Vegas is even more expensive, crazy, and fun. A double vodka at Allegiant is $33 USD

Just curious if the fan support will keep up if they stumble. American cities can be fickle supporting their hockey team

They did miss last year and they don't seem too worse for the wear.

Could they survive a 10 year stink? Who knows? During the DoD attendance flagged here too.

I remember getting row 10 behind the away goal in Rexall in 2014-15 for like $65.

I think my dream road trip would be do the west coast road swing for the Oilers. Fly to Vegas, watch Oilers , then rent vehicle and drive to California locations and watch Oilers. Been to San Diego but no hockey
Seen Oilers throughout the East ( Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Tampa Bay, Sunrise). Gotta see more
