Of course you can create any narrative to support whatever you want to believe. The facts say you’re wrong.

You continually add in irrelevant talking points to try to win discussions. It’s entertaining

Yes Nurse is grossly overpaid. He needs a partner that is able to cover up his weaknesses much better than Ceci could. Ceci might have been the worst possible partner imaginable for Nurse.
Well if the players we brought in can't do that we're in a world of trouble because Nurse isn't going anywhere.

Wise decision by the management team. This isn’t just Bowman, these moves have Knoblauch and Parkattis fingerprints all over.

Get that RD we’ve needed for 5+ seasons please.

Everything else is fine for now.

I can guarantee you that the Oilers could've hammered out a deal more reasonable than the one he took. But alas, cap crunch caused by unwise spending by the previous GM and the current GM(s) just assumed that nothing would happen to Holloway or Broberg. Nurse better have a monster year, that's all I'll say about him.

More reasonable than $4.5 million? Of course they could have, because he signed a completely unreasonable deal.

Obviously “more reasonable” isn’t what they were looking for.

And we have no evidence whatsoever they just “assumed nothing would happen to Holloway or Broberg”. NHL GMs aren’t exactly unfamiliar with RFAs.

I'm not convinced that Broberg was going to take a discount to stay here, he wanted out. Holland/Jackson probably could have signed Holloway earlier, why didn't they?
Broberg camp's offer was 1 yr at $1.8M, so yeah he would have.

You guys don't have to apologize or make excuses for the team, sometimes idiotic failure is just infact that.

If he sucks than he will be used as a thing to shit on us for our terrible drafting.
Nine tenths of the people circlejerking on the mainboards the last week were all calling Broberg a bust for the last 5 years, until he signed that disgusting poison-pill contract. 5 months ago, Broberg had near zero value (at least speculated by insiders).

yes...Stetcher was #8 on the depth chart, now vying for a top 4 spot
As a stop gap until we fill the #4 spot. I'm going to be optimistic and hope that before the playoffs, we have a better defenseman than Cody Ceci in that spot. If we can long term upgrade on the 2RD position, taking the side-step from VD to Emberson or Stecher is fine.

Pivot and fire.

Losing Ceci isn’t the difference between a world of trouble and a championship level defense. You keep on harping on that, but it’s complete nonsense.
