Jujhar Khaira sounds just like I did at his age, really baked.

He had something like 33 points in 32 games then slowed down big time over the rest of the season when he was asked to round out his game and stop taking chances. He needs to continue working on picking his spots so he can be both an offensive d whos rock solid defensively.

LOL dude he had 50 some pts.. Thats pretty good no?

It doesn't look at bad. He has a good stride and a really strong looking knee drive, which is important for a power forward type.

I agree. He looks pretty quick for a big guy. Part of peoples perception of his speed may just be his size. He looks like his stride is fairly long, giving the impression that he is slower than he actually is.

That's my take on it anyways. He still needs work though.

Those teams seem a little lopsided..

Nurse, Draisaitl, Brossoit, Simpson, Roy and Khaira all on one team..

Almost every other note from McCurdy describes an impressive Yakimov play. It could be that his size just allows to him to have his way at this level, but it's a great sign.

It's hard to tell for sure how things are going just by blog updates, but it sure sounds like Yakimov and Khaira are dominating out there. Hearing a lot of positive buzz about Dillon Simpson too.

20:15 Draisaitl with a one-on-one move as last guy back. Got away with it but Yakimov chased him all the way up the ice and finished the check in the offensive zone. Seconds later, Yakimov connects with a heavy wrist shot that tickles iron on the way in. 3-3.

This impressed me most about the blog.

He's not exactly out there against little guys.

Maybe he's just more interested in them (and thus sees them better) but I find it good that the players with questionable skating like Khaira, Yakimov and Simpson are doing well in a 4x4 game.

Sounds like Nurse is destroying everything that moves out there.

From McCurdy's blog, Nurse, Yakimov, and Khaira seem to be the standouts, with Chase, Simpson, Drai and Vesel also having good games. I love that Nurse and Yak 2.0 look to be out to send a message.

Guess they had a shootout.

20:32 Khaira with a slick, sick one-handed backhand, top shelf!

I'm hardly an expert, but how is that possible? That sounds crazytown.
