Not a fan of Backes. He has more Penalties than anything this year. That breakaway was a perfect example. Shot it right into Khabi's chest.
When Backed gets a penalty is usually mixing it up with there star players, gettin under their skin. Unlike Perron taking stupid slashing penalties because hes frustrated.

Seriously, you are illogical.

FRED MURTZ. please for P9's sake, upload a video from the beginning of the 2nd period when Panger is talking about what should have happened.

Sorry innocent guy, I know your point about being "amazed" that people were suggesting Pietrangelo made the wrong play was merely me "riding" you. I hate when I do that! It WAS pretty illogical of me to make you write that.

This is carry over from the Calgary game.

We can outshoot any team in the league. This team is quantity over quality right now. When we do get a quality scoring chance, we're not taking a quality shot.

I suppose it's either state every goaltender we play stands on their head or state the Blues are wasting their chances with easy to stop shots.

I thought that Oshie was going to pop that rebound in. This game has been VERY frustrating.

I wasn't expecting a trade. But, I'm not liking the looks of this season now. I wonder if The Blues need a trade to shake them up?

They still are trying to do too much on offence, and creating deadly errors that allow easy goals for the other team. They are NOT playing anything like the responsible 2-way game they played all last regular season. They can't seem to put together good play as a whole team, and good play for a whole game.

Actually most of Perron's penalties come from him trying to make too much happen in the offensive zone and getting careless with his stick.

Though I will say that Backes has 5 minutes on his resume that he got for checking a Red Wing with an idiot ref on the ice.

I still don't expect a meaningful trade. Not that this team doesn't need one, it's just not going to happen.

Which one of you do we need to sacrifice to the Hockey Gods? Im too important.

To potentially lose 3 of 4 when they have played as well as they have is strange. I cant analyze this, nor rationalize it. Yes, we give up some chances, but give me a break. Blues have had the better of the chances in these games by a long shot and just havent finished.

To those that want to sing the praises of Edmonton or the Gary's, you arent watching the games or checking the standings. You're not a homer, we get it.

Unless you think things like that bounce right to Hall's stick was skill. That was luck. The Blues, quite simply, are snake-bitten atm. I love the fight, though. This is the best looking .500 team that Ive seen.

Back to back losses to Calgary and Edmonton is going to hurt a lot, especially playing LA next and then road games against Minnesota and Chicago. That could be a potential 5 game losing streak at a critical time in the season. They need to gain some momentum in this period.

There's luck involved and right now they cant finish. I do agree that they are trying to do too much at times. Then again they are owning the scoring chances and creating a ton of prime opportunities. If they could finish, everyone would be falling over themselves about how great this team is.

Feels like a team trying to find itself. They have all been told that as long as they are getting chances, they are doing the right things. What do they change? Go to a 1-2-2 in the first period? I dont know.

I think I've seen more embellishment calls in the last week than in the prior five years.

They probably made it a point of emphasis at the GM meetings last week.

EDIT: Halak should try to use two blockers. He'd probably catch about the same amount of pucks. Even when it hits him directly in the glove, he drops it.

A few games this year have made me physically sick, this is up there. I have two players on my ea team, one from Detroit, one from Chi-town. Prepared to have the knife driven in haha.
