Jagr is the NHL Bicycle. I think he's just trying to set an untouchable record for most teams in the NHL played for.
Hope the Devils miss the playoffs by 1 point

Hope they finish DEAD LAST. Let them enjoy forfeiting that 1st round pick completely.![]()
The Devils make 7, not THAT outlandish.

Dominic Moore signed with the Rangers again so he may have a chance.Jagr is the NHL Bicycle. I think he's just trying to set an untouchable record for most teams in the NHL played for.
It's going to look strange with him wearing red and black.
Doesn't make sense to me. You'd think Jagr would want to play for a "win now" team. I don't think the Devils are that kind of team this year.
If Jagr is all about the money at this point I'm not sure why he doesn't just play in the KHL.

You underestimate how competitive Jagr is--always has been.

Anyone hear anything new on the Hank extension talks?
Then why sign with the Devils?
He's not even close.
Because they want him? Because it gives Jagr a place to show his talents? Because if he plays well, he'll get traded to a playoff team?
Nothing. It's not Sather's MO to extend pending UFA's the summer before they can test the market. I'd look at deals for Hank, Callahan, and Girardi to get done no earlier than this upcoming January.
Pretty sure they mentioned a week or so back that the team wanted to extend him now, and that both sides were talking or at least had scheduled to do so in the very near future.
Right, but if he's such a competitor and doesn't care about the money certainly there's a better team available than the Devils, no?
Where did I say that he doesn't care about the money? I just said he was competitive.
And I've already pointed out it doesn't matter where Jagr signs, if he plays well, he'll end up on a playoff bound team come the trade deadline.
