Jagr is the NHL Bicycle. I think he's just trying to set an untouchable record for most teams in the NHL played for.

Hope they finish DEAD LAST. Let them enjoy forfeiting that 1st round pick completely. :D

Not out of the question. I just went over all the teams in our division, looked at lineups etc. The Devils and Canes are a step below everyone else IMO. The Devils are probably even worse than Carolina. I hope they finish dead last though t:handclap:

What I found really lawl is the "top 10 games to watch" slide on NHL.com

From left to right, they have Iggy, Alfie, Lecavalier, and then Henrik.

The first 3 all found a new team and then there's Henrik for some reason. If I just woke up from a month long coma, I'd almost think Henrik was traded.

If Jagr is all about the money at this point I'm not sure why he doesn't just play in the KHL.

No good casinos in Russia I guess :sarcasm:

Anyone hear anything new on the Hank extension talks?

Nothing. It's not Sather's MO to extend pending UFA's the summer before they can test the market. I'd look at deals for Hank, Callahan, and Girardi to get done no earlier than this upcoming January.

He's not even close.

The first person I thought of was Michel Petit. Turns out he's one of a few guys with a mere 10 teams played for, including former Rangers JJ Daigneault and Mathieu Schneider, plus Jim Dowd. But Mike Sillinger, who never played for the Rangers, has played for 12.

Jagr is about to play for his 7th. There are 59 players who have played for 8 or more.

Because they want him? Because it gives Jagr a place to show his talents? Because if he plays well, he'll get traded to a playoff team?

Right, but if he's such a competitor and doesn't care about the money certainly there's a better team available than the Devils, no?

Pretty sure they mentioned a week or so back that the team wanted to extend him now, and that both sides were talking or at least had scheduled to do so in the very near future.

They can talk, but I don't see them getting a deal done for quite a while. It takes a while to negotiate a deal, just look at the Stepan and Zuccarello negotiations going on. A lot of i's to be dotted and t's to be crossed.

Where did I say that he doesn't care about the money? I just said he was competitive.

And I've already pointed out it doesn't matter where Jagr signs, if he plays well, he'll end up on a playoff bound team come the trade deadline.

We discussed/speculated above that if he was mostly interested in the money he would play in the KHL.
