Most likely, I would think Brookbank would actually be the odd man out there.

Jagr would be nice...for less than a million. He won't play for that though. He'll go to the KHL before he takes only one million a season to play here. His gambling vices are well documented, he needs to feed it.

I'd rather keep Zuccarello to play on the 3rd line and be on the 2nd PP unit. Slick hands and is the only pure playmaking winger we really have. It helps that he loves playing here and probably wouldn't play for any other team in the NHL.

Neither should he. Old or not, he scored over 0,5 PPG in regular season and almost PPG in the PO. If we signed him it would most likely be the year when he broke down completely...

Jagr only had 10 points (10 assists) in 22 game during the playoffs. Not horrible production but certainly not great either.

Pouliot is obviously signed to play. But if Zucc isn't traded or Jagr actually is signed, we get a bit of a logjam.

I haven't seen Kristo in a couple of years. But I think he might need a little time in the AHL. I would be suprised if he was ready to perform right away. A couple of months with Gernander would probably do him good.
 
No to Jagr 1000x.

we either trade a LD in a move to bring in a younger, consistent, scoring LW
and/or give every opportunity for a player within the org. to take the spot.

Iginla would have been a better vet player to get...
 
See, this doesn't make sense to me. They're in financial trouble, are basically dead in the water for this season, and are going to drop millions on a season or two of Jagr to keep them in mediocre territory. They kept a crappy pick to grab a 4th liner for player psychological reasons, and are now going to lose a good pick.

I used to have a ton of respect for Devils management. But a lot of their moves the last few years have had me scratching my head.

Can MZA play RW? Can MDZ play RD? If so here are my lines:

Kreider Stepan Nash
Pouliot Richards MZA
Hagelin Brassard Callahan
Boyle Moore Dorsett

McDonagh Girardi
Staal Del Zotto
Moore Stralman

I kind of remember Staal and Del Zotto playing together, in particular the game against the Leafs when Gaborik Richards Nash Staal and DZ were all plus 4 and Sam Rosen was calling them the unit.
 
Unfortunate that he's joining the Devils. Literally the only team that I can't root for him on. Even on Philly i was hoping to see him do well.

One of my favorite players ever and still will be. But i hope he gets 0 points next year playing for those ****s.

Del Zotto did not play well at all on the right side.. Moore did play RD in columbus though.
