It wasn't reported at the time but his December injury when starting skating was reagrivating it.Wait are you saying Nylander’s knee was injured during the season? The only report I saw was that he injured it in the offseason
Kubalik Toews Johnson

Strome Borgstrom Gaudette
Hagel Carpenter Nylander

That's my guess heading into training camp. Hopefully Strome is dealt, so they can put Reichel in there, if he performs.
It's not about being anti-Strome. It's about being able to see that his game, which was always one-dimensional, is currently in the toilet.Shhhhhh the anti-Stromers will hear you

Right, forgot S Jones is a RHDWouldn't these pairings make more sense?
McCabe S Jones

I was listening to the new Laz and Powers pod and they were theorizing that the Hawks could run four offensive lines if they wanted to. Kurashev would center line four, Johnson line three.
You could still do a solid PK without Carpenter/Khaira types with DeBrincat, Dach, Hagel, Toews/Johnson.
they have a hard time seeing Colliton not playing Carpenter on the fourth line though

This is fine for a top team like TB but I reckon in Chicago such a philosophy wouldn't work. Not enough fire power.Absolutely. I've been saying this the whole summer, we have the personnel to run 4 legitimate two way lines (we'd need some of our maybe guys to put doubt behind though).
But we could. I hope we will, it would be big advantage.
I can't see it though unfo, just too traditional to run a 'dependable grinder line'. Maybe down the line when the eventual shuffle is needed in a rut we go to it - find out hop it's working and keep at it.

I cannot believe we got Jones and a 3rd that could be a 2nd for Keith. he statistically was a one of the worst d in all the league at multiple categories and un like jones can he really improve much at his age. I think he can be better but not by a ton. Jones on the other hand could be a guy that ends up top 5 in voting for norris
