I like Columbus going for it. Good for them.

Can only kick the can down the road and rebuild so many times, their fanbase deserves them going for it. If you're going to lose Panarin and Bob, might as well take your shot.

And I think this is the right year to do it as far as the Metro goes. I think they could be the best team in the division. Islanders are good but idk how they'll hold up come playoff time. Capitals are underwhelming and Holtby hasn't looked great. Pittsburgh hasn't looked great. I think the Metro is wide open. Then hope for Toronto/Tampa/Boston to beat each other up, you never know there could be an injury to Vasilevsky or Kucherov or Matthews. You just never know.

So decent return for Ottawa (obviously not return AVS got) so that does bode well for us one would think

As long as they get Fabbro I’m fine spending the next few years telling people “I told you Tolvanen wasn’t as good as he was hyped up to be” ;)

So. We've all been focusing on Nashville and Winnipeg when it comes to Hayes. But this move just screwed the Isles big time, both in terms of a rival stepping up and taking their number one trade target off the market.

What do we want from them in exchange for #13?

This is still pretty risky for columbus. If they lose Panarin and Bob for nothing!!! and If Duchene doesn't sign wow. Very risky

Fabbro and a 1st would be a nice return for Hayes...throw in a conditional pick, and I’m good.
fabbro and a 1st alone would make me happy....a conditional and im stoked

hayes and zucc for fabbro, tolvanen, a first and a conditional first next year if they reach the cup finals this year and ill drive them to nashville
