hopefully those possibilities have already been hashed out.
None of this is a surprise. If our management is competent at all, then they had meetings with the players most likely to be traded to set what the expectations will be in the coming weeks. This is the best way to avoid hard feelings. Honesty
I don't know, maybe Hayes said he'll take this now to extend back then, but if they wait until deadline day it will take this to extend?
I am assuming his agent is there to separate his feeling from business, and would likely understand that his value to the Rangers changes based on what his trade return would be.
Anyway I think this is a moot point, I think Hayes is being traded.
