Patrik Laine is kind of like this generations version of Rick Nash. Big, young, spectacular goal scoring skills. Even has at least a couple concussions. He hasn't worked out the defensive parts of his game yet but that took Rick a while too. If we're going to have him better at the front end of his career than at the back end.

He's a 70 point player. If Nash was one of the worst two-way players in the league instead of one of the best, that's Patrik Laine.
 
Kinkaid blows this year but i mean a 5th rounder in 2022....that's nothing.

He's put up good numbers as a backup before, so I guess there's some upside for CBJ? Is Korpisalo banged up or something?

Nash wasn't that great defensively when he was a young player in Columbus. That's a part of his game he worked on as his career progressed along.
