GDT: Official Trade Deadline Thread II

Fine. That word is like a knife to my ears when we talk Ranger hockey.

"How is the team playing?" Fine.

"How is the PP?" Fine

"How's McIlrath doing?" Fine

I just meant that he won't have to take the big important face-offs.

You know since we got Brassard, we could have traded boyle... jesus chrsit

Why? Boyle is a very good 4th line center. Why move him?

Well, since he's far better than Gilroy and a fair bit better than Eminger, I would assume he'd be up here.

This.

so since we have a whole slew of LHD (Staal, Mcd, Del Zotto, Moore), are we going to deal one of them in the off season for scoring?

I believe Moore can, and will, play the left side.

I would have liked an additional deal for a RD & 3rd wing, but I guess I'm more or less okay with the deadline moves this year. I think it's a good shakeup.

in a vaccum, this is a good trade because Gaborik wasn't scoring goals either. but you guys are fooling yourself if you think ANY of these 3 are going to be able to put up 10-15 goals on the RANGERS who don't know what the word scoring means.

So
Nash - Brassard - Moore - Dorsett - 6th - conditional 3rd.
For
Gaborik - Dubi - Anisimov - Erixon - 1st.

Nash > Gaborik
Dorsett < Dubinsky
Brassard > Anisimov
Moore = Erixon
3rd + 6th < 1st

Pretty even, really.

Rangers still didn't address their need for a right handed booming shoot for the PP.

Significant hole. However, we did finally address the 3rd center position.

I was told I needed therapy for even suggesting the Jackets would take Gaborik and his salary. My proposed deal was Brassard, Prospect, 1st. Essentially we got something pretty equal to that.
