It would be a tight fit trying to resign both Gourde and M.Geekie.
With Bjorkstrand, we still have 9.1M of available cap in the offseason, as we currently stand.
Gourde shouldn't require much at 34 for a final contract, a couple millions on a longer(ish) contract?
The only problem I could see with this is that we then couldn't go big top4 Dman hunting.

Calling it a rest day instead of day-to-day is pretty great news, hopefully yesterday was more precautionary

A top4 to demote Cernak? I'm thinking we can get an insurance policy-type D. Someone to play 3rd pair but can fill on if McDonagh shows his age, or, on the right, when Cernak gets hurt.

Or maybe we shop for the #2 RHD to play with Hedman and move Moser down, giving us the big 1-2-3 down the left side again.

The idea of acquiring Maroon isn't bad. I don't know why people would be against it. He's literally the slowest player in the league yet he's still able to produce. He brings an element we don't have, has size, and can grind down a game when it's slower in the playoffs. He'd get 7-9 minutes. Maroon is f***ing great along the boards and plays a simple game... back to the D... possession. He's much better than Girgendonothingsons. Him, Chaffee and Glendening on the 4th would actually be good.

I have, in recent years, started believing in intangibles again. And I think Maroon makes a team better just by being on it. So I agree. He'd be getting bare minimum ice time, and probably wouldn't even play every game. But sometimes building a team is like putting together a platoon of guys to go to battle. They play for each other, etc etc. Maroon was definitely part of our "identity" in the big years. And it was never really about what he did on the ice. That was always replaceable.

Bob McKenzie is saying that he's heard that Rantanen would look favorably on signing with Toronto or Florida in free agency.
LOL McKenzie popping back up out of retirement to drop the gospel. It's as good as done.

Stanley Cap is now showing TB with $4 million in deadline cap space. It's breaking so close to the deadline. PuckPedia is the last one standing.

Dennis Gilbert is one of those low-cost defensemen I looked at. Just 6k too expensive.

Capwages shows $0 because we still have Halverson up?
