Official Tank Thread

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.

Don’t open that champagne bottle just yet. Plenty of hockey left, we could easily go down. 1 unfortunate injury to a star player and we are tanking again. Last thing we need is for another jinx.

salbutera should be very careful trying to be sarcastic. Fortuna detects this kind of behaviour very easily. She'll take notes and arrange a five game losing streak just to end it all on a hot streak that is 1-2 points short from the playoffs.

When one writes to the official tank thread, it should be done with a cold and darkened heart without any wink-winks. If Canadiens don't qualify to the playoffs or they draft outside the top-10, let it be known, it was caused by salbutera's actions.

No guarantees they make the playoffs but tanking is highly improbable and always was

This thread currently lack a strong voice obsessively vocal about his frustration of Habs winning. We need a mood breaker, too many positive vibes.

Rather the team miss the playoffs so they don't get banged up for nothing.

It's not the time for this team to be in the playoffs.

To just make it by the skin of your teeth to only lose players to injuries and a 1st round exit is not worth it.

Team isn't complete yet.

For real. Wishing Calgary to win all season long and expected them to magically collapse towards the ends just to end up with a nice pick was wishful thinking. And they have a couple of games on hand over teams in front of them. They most likely pass Ottawa and New Jersey soon.

At this point a 15OV pick would be good.
