CSN was far better, with better on air people than NESN

Yes they were but the ratings never reflected that.

Neumeier and McAdam being laid off tells me NOBODY at CSN is safe now outside of the Celtics broadcast crew. Comcast is going all in with NBC Boston and everybody in the industry is waiting to see how that plays out.

It's hard not to like Neumeier and McAdams knew his stuff.

Not just baseball, but hockey and music too.

I still lmao at the time someone called sports radio and referred to him as Count Dooku, though.

I feel like, in general, media is becoming more and more streamlined and cheapened. People won't go to a NESN Sports Today or CSN hilights show to get info an analysis. They'll check their phones. If they want more depth, they'll listen to a podcast etc.

It is a shame that they keep Haggs and let McAdam go. McAdams know more about hockey than Haggs.

My dog knows more about hockey than Haggs, granted she is wicked smart but she isn't allowed to cover the Bruins so why should be allowed to. When he is on NHL radio on XM they treat him like an expert, makes me question their other "experts".

I agree Nuemier has lost a lot but McAdam was still on the top of his game and is one of the best baseball/sports guys around.

Chris Price out at EEI too.
It's all about the hot takez now.

Horrible

Sheppard had Jimmy Murphy on as the Bruins Insider and it was pathetic. He makes Haggs come across as Socrates

If they are going to nickel and dime the talent I won't be listening

Put Ty Anderson on he gets it

I agree with most although Haggs is so much better than Murphy my fear is that replace these guys with replacements who will work for minimum wage.

What about Trenni Tangusy and NESN personnel

Tanguay is coming back to WEEI so Minehane is likely looking after his buddy

I agree with this, few years ago I stood beside the two of them at a P Bruins pre season game in Marlboro, was like a positive affirmation meeting with each one agreeing on how bright and right the other one was. I wondered off after the first period to avoid potential jail time.

I'd love to never have to hear Trenni, Reimer(?), or Tanguay ever again.

Put Meterparel and Mut on the am show twice a week each and get a guest host for Friday's or something.

I stopped listening in the morning if it's Trenni or Reimer and didn't listen in the past when it was Tanguay.

They are all just awful...uninteresting, uninformed and just plain useless.

Why, when the Celtics play nationally, does the regional network broadcast the game in addition to the network?

Why isn't this the case with NESN broadcasting NBC games?

NBC needs to make games exclusive to build a rating. That isn't the case with the NBA.

quick note

I know this board may not talk much or have threads about MLS but the New England Revolution cannot be dismissed on this forum re:CSNNE also has their contract along with the C's.

So? And ESPN has a national deal for MLS games. Does it really matter though? If there are enough people interested in discussing MLS, then it will be discussed. If there aren't, it will be dismissed. Pretty simple, no?

SINCE when, Fox Sports also has MLS, THAT'S where it's not exclusive, in fact, LSC, Fox WAS the one who broadcast Toronto FC vs Seattle Sounders FC, no less than 2 and 1/2 WEEKS AGO, how is that ESPN?

You can read the details here. Both networks are basically not competing. They air the games at different times so as to not. But again, if anyone cared to discuss MLS in earnest, there would be a thread for it.
